Description
STAFFVIRTUAL is partnering with a fast-growing U.S.-based restaurant technology and accounting services company that is rapidly expanding its Philippines operations.
Following a recent acquisition and accelerated client growth, the company is building a world-class accounting operations organization capable of supporting hundreds of new clients over the next several years.
We are looking for a strategic and hands-on Vice President of Accounting Operations to lead, scale, and optimize a large Philippines-based accounting team supporting U.S. restaurant and hospitality clients.
This is a high-visibility executive leadership role ideal for someone who thrives in fast-growth environments, enjoys building operational structure, and can drive accountability, process improvement, and scalable execution across large accounting teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee a 70+ member accounting organization across Accounts Payable, General Accounting, and special projects teams
- Lead managers, team leads, offshore staff, BPO resources, and remote accounting specialists across the Philippines
- Drive operational excellence, process standardization, and scalable accounting delivery
- Improve workforce planning, utilization, productivity, and reporting visibility
- Build stronger SOPs, controls, documentation, and performance management systems
- Partner closely with U.S.-based executives and operational leaders
- Identify operational bottlenecks and implement practical, measurable improvements
- Strengthen leadership capability and management bench strength across teams
- Support business growth, onboarding expansion, and operational scalability initiatives
Qualification & Requirements
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; CPA strongly preferred
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience
- 3-5+ years leading large accounting operations or shared services teams
- Experience managing offshore, BPO, or distributed accounting organizations
- Strong background in accounting operations, process improvement, and team leadership
- Proven ability to scale systems, processes, and people in fast-paced environments
- Advanced Excel and operational reporting skills
- Strong executive communication and stakeholder management experience
- Ability to operate independently with urgency, ownership, and sound judgment
Preferred Experience
- Restaurant, hospitality, retail, or multi-location accounting environments
- U.S.-based companies or global shared services organizations
- Post-acquisition growth or high-volume client onboarding environments
- ERP systems, workflow optimization, and operational reporting tools
