We are looking for a Global Director Finance – Shared Services, to join our team in Milwaukee, Wisconsin or Hoffman Estates, Illinois. This role oversees the centralized financial operations (Accounting, AP, AR & Customer Billing) to drive efficiency, standardization, and cost-effectiveness. Key responsibilities include optimizing processes, ensuring compliance with internal and external controls, managing key performance metrics, developing teams, leveraging technology for automation, and driving continuous improvement to reduce costs and enhance service levels.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic oversight of Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Application, and Customer Billing functions, ensuring efficient, scalable, and high-quality service delivery
  • Establish, monitor, and continuously improve key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs) to enhance service levels and operational effectiveness
  • Champion process optimization and digital transformation initiatives, leveraging RPA, AI, and ERP capabilities to drive efficiency and standardization
  • Maintain a robust internal control environment and ensure compliance with all relevant accounting standards, regulations, and company policies
  • Collaborate with business unit and senior leadership to improve working capital, streamline processes, and enhance financial reporting and insights
  • Build, mentor, and lead high-performing teams, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and professional growth

Qualification & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field required; MBA and/or CPA strongly preferred
  • 10+ years of progressive finance experience, including significant leadership ideally within shared services or centralized finance operations
  • Proven ability to lead large, multi-functional teams, develop leaders, and drive a high-performance, accountable culture
  • Expertise in P2P (Purchase to Pay), O2C (Order to Cash), and working capital optimization, with demonstrated success improving cash flow and operational efficiency at scale
  • Experience leading transformation initiatives, including process standardization, and/or automation a plus
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems (e.g., JDE) and data/analytics tools (e.g., Power BI) to drive insights, performance management, and decision-making
  • Strong financial, operational, and internal control acumen, with experience ensuring compliance in a SOX or similarly regulated environment
