Description

As a Product Design Lead, you build and manage a team of Product Designers focused on improving customer experience within a specific domain of the Digital RTC ecosystem in Digital Commerce. You shape end-to-end user experiences across complex customer journeys, translating business and customer needs into impactful and scalable design solutions.

You combine strategy, creativity and evidence-based design to influence product direction, improve design systems, promote reusability and elevate user experience quality. You manage and coach a team of product designers, drive experimentation and ensure design excellence across the Digital RTC ecosystem.

Product Design Lead (Digital Commerce)

Key Responsibilities

  • Setting and shaping the design strategy for the domain, based on the global design vision, and aligning roadmap decisions with product OKRs together with Product Owners or leads, ensuring clear trade-offs
  • Translating business objectives and user insights or pain points into customer-centric solutions that deliver measurable outcomes (e.g. NPS/CSAT, adoption, conversion, retention)
  • Advocating for user-centred design principles and aligning design strategy with market and portfolio context
  • Owning and managing quality gates while driving consistent use and evolution of patterns, components and processes across teams, ensuring accessibility and adherence to brand and design systems
  • Managing and developing direct reports, including Senior Product Designers and Product Designers (2–5 FTE depending on scope/team)
  • Actively contributing to effective cross-functional collaboration within the Product–Design–Engineering setup
  • Ensuring scalable, multi-architype and multi-market solutions with minimal rework
  • Ensuring and reinforcing adherence to brand guidelines while training the team on proper usage
  • Ensuring and guiding the delivery of holistic and consistent design solutions and prototypes across products that drive engagement, adoption and satisfaction
  • Strengthening collaboration within the Product–Design–Engineering tripod by clarifying intake, prioritisation and decision-making processes, reducing friction and cycle time
  • Facilitating co-creation workshops and leadership reviews to ensure shared understanding and alignment
  • Providing and fostering mentorship and a culture of feedback and continuous improvement within the design team
  • Driving collaboration and alignment with key business stakeholders (e.g. sales, opcos and other stakeholders outside the product team).

Qualification & Requirements

You Are a Good Candidate If You Have

  • proven track record of designing for complex ecosystems, preferably B2B or eCommerce platforms
  • experience managing teams
  • experience in hypothesis-driven design, A/B testing and experimentation
  • strong portfolio demonstrating user-centred design from insight to execution
  • experience working with design system components, tokens and assets
  • experience in digital commerce, stakeholder management and agile methodologies
  • experience in digital transformation (preferred)
  • commercial value chain expertise (preferred)

  • proficiency in design and prototyping tools (e.g. Figma, Miro or similar)
  • expertise in maintaining and upgrading end-to-end design quality within a specific domain
  • strong understanding of qualitative and quantitative research methods and their application in design decisions
