In this role you play a key part in shaping globally harmonized Payroll, Time and Benefits processes that directly influence how employees are paid, rewarded and supported across Boehringer Ingelheim worldwide. You will operate at the intersection of Business, HR and IT, driving global standards, complex transformation initiatives and cross-functional collaboration within a highly strategic GBS environment. Senior Head of GBS PM Total Rewards

Key Responsibilities

  • One of your key responsibilities will be to own the governance, design, implementation, performance measurement and lifecycle management of global Payroll, Time and Benefits processes, including payroll controls, time recording, absence management and benefits administration
  • In regard to global process strategy and alignment, you will lead the development and continuous maintenance of global process and project roadmaps in close collaboration with GBS H2R Global Process Owner and Global HR Solution Owner, Business Units and IT, ensuring alignment with the SAP/ERP target landscape
  • You will be the main contact person for global standards and system ownership in Payroll, Time and Benefits, acting as delegate Global Process Owner and System Owner across all Business Units, OPUs and GBS Centers
  • Moreover, you will lead and steer large-scale global programs, such as system implementations and GBS roll-outs, ensuring compliant deployment through SOPs, training concepts and validation activities
  • In addition, you will actively contribute to Business Unit strategy development and IT target landscape design by providing a strong global process management, governance and compliance perspective
  • Furthermore, the role includes leading, developing and engaging a team of (Senior) Process Managers and (Senior) Project Managers, as well as managing and coordinating external resources

Qualification & Requirements

  • Master’s or diploma degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Business Administration or Industrial Engineering
  • Several years experience in global process domains, with a strong focus on Payroll, Time and/or Benefits, including SAP/ERP and other relevant standard software
  • Several years leadership experience
  • Proven experience setting global standards, leading large transformation projects and coaching senior experts in complex, international environments
  • Broad strategic understanding of Business Unit positioning, technology trends, competitor strategies and benchmarking approaches
  • Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management capabilities, including confident representation in international forums, workshops and conferences
  • Fluent English skills, German and further languages considered an advantage
