Description

We are partnered with a private equity-backed, multi-entity services platform seeking a Controller, Shared Services to lead and optimize centralized finance operations across a ~$500M organization.

This is a highly visible leadership role overseeing Treasury, Accounts Payable, Payroll, and Accounts Receivable/Collections, with responsibility for driving process discipline, improving cash flow performance, and building scalable infrastructure in a fast-growing, acquisitive environment.

This individual will lead a team of functional managers and a broader organization of 20+ indirect reports, partnering closely with finance and operational leadership across multiple business units. The role is both strategic and hands-on, with a strong emphasis on treasury, working capital optimization, and shared services transformation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead centralized shared services functions including AP, AR/Collections, Payroll, and Treasury
  • Own treasury operations, including cash forecasting, liquidity management, and banking relationships
  • Enhance working capital performance, including driving improvements in collections and reducing DSO
  • Oversee high-volume AP and payroll operations across a distributed workforce
  • Implement scalable processes, automation, and standardized workflows across functions
  • Support M&A integration efforts, including onboarding acquired entities into shared services
  • Partner with operational leaders to align financial processes with business needs
  • Build, develop, and mentor a team while driving accountability and performance

Qualification & Requirements

Ideal Background

  • 10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, including shared services leadership
  • Strong expertise across treasury, cash forecasting, and working capital management
  • Experience in multi-entity and/or private equity-backed environments
  • Track record of driving process improvements and system enhancements
  • Exposure to M&A integration is highly preferred
  • CPA strongly preferred
