Description

We are now recruiting on behalf of a large, global company who is seeking a leader to build and scale a global Shared Services function. This Senior Director of Shared Services will design and implement a centralized model supporting core finance operations across multiple systems and recently integrated businesses. The company offers a competitive compensation package, is in growth mode, and hybrid flexibility.

The Senior Director of Shared Services will define the vision, structure, and execution of Shared Services, overseeing key functions such as Procure to Pay (Accounts Payable), Order to Cash (Accounts Receivable, Cash Application), Payroll, and GL Accounting. The role will also serve as the business lead for system processes, ensuring alignment, efficiency, and strong controls across a complex ERP landscape.

Key Responsibilities

  • Stand up and lead a centralized Shared Services organization across multiple entities and platforms
  • Oversee end-to-end finance operations including P2P, O2C, payroll, and related processes
  • Drive ERP and financial systems strategy, including implementations and integrations
  • Establish scalable processes, KPIs, and service delivery standards
  • Ensure SOX compliance and maintain a strong internal control environment
  • Lead automation and transformation initiatives to improve efficiency and accuracy
  • Build and develop a high-performing, service-oriented team

Qualification & Requirements

The right candidate for this Director of Shared Services will have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • CPA designation required
  • 10+ years of experience in shared services / finance operations leadership
  • Proven track record building a Shared Services function (P2P, O2C, Payroll, etc)
  • Experience working with and implementing relevant systems (ERP, Coupa, Ariba, etc)
  • Strong knowledge of SOX, internal controls, and process governance
  • Experience leading large, multi-functional teams in complex environments
  • Exposure to automation tools and finance transformation initiatives
  • Track record of career stability and progression
