Responsible for leading finance operations, driving strategic initiatives, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Vice President, Finance Operations

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the oversight and effective functioning of day-to-day finance operations, including Disbursements (Accounts Payable), Collections (Accounts Receivable), Credit Governance and Credit Control, ensuring consistent delivery of timeliness, accuracy, service quality and cost efficiency across the organisation.
  • Ownership of the Finance Operations operating model, including the definition and maintenance of:
  • Performance standards, service level expectations and KPIs
  • Clear policies, delegated authorities and escalation frameworks
  • Leading finance transformation projects and strategies from initiation to completion, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including PMO, IT, Operation, and Business units to align on requirements, develop solutions, and implement changes effectively
  • Lead and manage financial operational team to ensure the successful roll-out of the projects and strategies
  • Primary escalation point for material finance operational risks, issues or control breaches, including ensuring timely resolution of root causes and sustainable remediation.
  • Accountable for Finance Operations transformation and work closely with IT and relevant Business units to modernise capabilities, including:
  • Process standardisation and simplification
  • Automation and digital enablement
  • Building scalable and resilient operations to support business growth and regulatory change
  • Ensuring benefits realisation from transformation initiatives.
  • Ownership of the effectiveness of the Finance Operations control environment, including:
  • Identification and assessment of operational and control risks
  • Oversight of remediation actions and closure of audit findings
  • Ongoing partnership with 2nd Line (Risk & Compliance) and 3rd Line (Internal Audit)
  • Functional oversight and governance of the Shared Services Finance function, including:
  • Accountability for delivery quality, productivity and control effectiveness
  • Service alignment with business requirements
  • Continuous improvement of shared services performance
  • Senior representative for Finance Operations in engagements with senior stakeholders, providing transparent reporting on performance, risks, transformation progress and emerging issues.
  • Maintaining a culture of high performance, teamwork and continuous improvement

Qualification & Requirements

  • Degree in Accountancy or Finance; CPA or CFA preferred.
  • 15+ years of progressive experience in finance, with substantial senior‑level exposure to Finance Operations, Shared Services, or large‑scale transactional finance environments.
  • Demonstrated track record of leading finance operations through transformation, including process re‑engineering, standardisation, automation and digital enablement, with measurable improvements in efficiency, control or service quality.
  • Senior stakeholder management capability, with the confidence to represent Finance Operations at executive level and act as an escalation point for material operational matters.
  • Proven people leadership experience, including building strong leadership benches, developing successors, and leading teams through change.
