Description

The Chief of Shared Services is responsible for overseeing and managing all centralized support functions across the organization to ensure operational efficiency, service excellence, and cost optimization. This role leads the strategic direction and integration of core services such as HR, IT, Finance Operations, Procurement, Facilities Management, and other administrative services under one unified structure. The position plays a critical role in driving standardization, process improvement, and value creation across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop, and manage all Shared Services functions (e.g., HR operations, IT services, finance operations, procurement, admin, and facilities).
  • Define and implement the shared services strategy aligned with corporate goals and business needs.
  • Drive operational efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and service-level improvements across departments.
  • Develop and monitor performance metrics, SLAs, and KPIs to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Promote automation, process standardization, and digital transformation across service functions.
  • Foster a customer-centric and performance-driven culture within the shared services organization.
  • Collaborate with functional leaders to identify improvement opportunities and ensure service alignment.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies.
  • Oversee budget planning and cost management for all shared services functions.
  • Build and lead a high-performing shared services leadership team.

Qualification & Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, HR, IT, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree or MBA is highly preferred.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP, CIPD, SHRM, or Six Sigma are a plus.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 12–15 years of progressive experience in shared services, operations, or corporate services roles.
  • At least 5 years in a senior leadership or executive position overseeing multiple support functions.
  • Proven experience in transformation and change management.
  • Strong understanding of cross-functional support services (HR, IT, finance operations, procurement, etc.).
  • Experience in leading digital and automation initiatives is highly desirable.
  • Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills.
