Description

We are looking for an exceptional Associate Director to join our GBS team. As organizations increasingly focus on GBS and Shared Services to drive efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance performance, the demand for expert advisory services is growing significantly. In this role, you will engage directly with C-suite executives and leaders of leading global organisations, advising them on leveraging GBS as a critical lever for business transformation and future readiness.

Associate Director, GBS Generalist, GBS – Finance Transformation

Key Responsibilities

You will also be instrumental in:

  • Leading the end-to-end delivery of GBS strategies and transformation programmes for our clients.
  • Advancing our GBS capabilities, particularly in the innovative application of Agentic and Generative AI.
  • Identifying and securing new business development opportunities to expand our market presence.
  • Proactively shaping the GBS advisory market through thought leadership, innovative solutions, and strategic client engagement.
  • Managing and mentoring project teams, and collaborating with Directors and Partners to support the strategic growth and development of our GBS practice

Strategic Advisory & GBS Transformation

  • Provide strategic guidance to senior client executives and function leaders on establishing and optimising their GBS, Shared Services, and/or BPO functions (including hybrid models), preferably in the context of ERP-led transformations.
  • Engage and collaborate with clients to understand their business objectives and develop comprehensive strategies and plans for setting up or transforming their GBS operations. This encompasses visioning and defining GBS scope and objectives, designing target operating models (TOM), including multi-function future process design and organisation, conducting location evaluations, service delivery, and sourcing model options analysis, developing robust value/business cases and creating clear roadmaps for implementation.
  • For clients with existing GBS models, lead maturity assessments and diagnostics to identify value and improvement opportunities, shaping their GBS strategy and transformation plans.

Digital & Technology Enablement:

  • Support the identification, assessment, and implementation of digital solutions and tools, including ERP, Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and other emerging technologies.

BPO Sourcing & Lifecycle Management:

  • Lead and deliver client engagements across all parts of the BPO lifecycle, including, sourcing strategy and solution design, commercial strategy, vendor shortlisting and selection, contract negotiation and pricing, transition planning, implementation, and transformation.

Project & Engagement Leadership:

  • Manage multi-disciplinary project teams (leveraging the breadth of expertise and experience across Deloitte) to deliver high-quality engagements in line with client and contractual requirements.
  • Own the end-to-end engagement management, including driving resourcing, budget planning, Work-in-Progress (WIP) management, and client invoicing.
  • Champion a culture of innovation within the team, encouraging the adoption of new tools and methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Client Relationship & Business Development:

  • Foster strong client relationships, serving as a trusted advisor and maintaining a deep understanding of their business needs.
  • Support business development efforts and growth, including identifying new opportunities, developing compelling proposals, and expanding relationships with existing clients.

Team Development & Market Eminence:

  • Mentor and develop junior team members, providing guidance and support in their professional growth.
  • Support market eminence efforts for GBS in the private sector, including staying up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes that impact GBS, Shared Services, and BPO sectors.

Qualification & Requirements

You will be a good fit for this role if you have:

  • Proven experience in GBS, Shared Services, and/or Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) within the Private Sector, with a track record of delivering successful engagements.
  • Deep understanding of industry trends, emerging technologies, and the regulatory landscape impacting GBS, Shared Services, and BPO sectors.
  • Excellent client relationship management skills, focused on building long-term partnerships and delivering exceptional client service.
  • Proven experience in supporting business development activities, including identifying opportunities, developing compelling proposals, managing pursuit teams, and expanding client relationships within the private sector.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to effectively manage and inspire teams to achieve exceptional results.
  • Certifications like CIMA, PMP, Six Sigma will be a plus
