Description

We are seeking a Programme & Project Practice Lead to play a pivotal leadership role within VOIS Business Operations and Transformation, reporting into the Head of Business Excellence. This role leads a high-performing practice of programme and project professionals delivering complex transformation programmes, customer-led initiatives, and internal business priorities across VOIS locations. The role combines strategic oversight, people leadership, and accountability for outcomes, ensuring consistent, high-quality delivery that drives measurable business value.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing team of senior programme managers, project managers, project analysts, and coordinators, fostering a culture of trust, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Establish and continuously evolve robust, well-documented project and programme delivery standards, ensuring consistency and excellence across all portfolios.
  • Embed and mature industry-leading ways of working, including SAFe, Agile, Lean, MSP, and PRINCE2, raising the overall capability and impact of the practice.
  • Ensure projects and programmes are delivered efficiently, on time, within budget, and to agreed quality standards, with clear governance and controls.
  • Drive strong customer and employee experience outcomes, identifying opportunities to optimise delivery and scale improvements across VOIS.
  • Implement and monitor quality control processes, KPIs, and performance metrics, including productivity, milestone delivery, and billable utilisation where applicable.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional stakeholders across technology, business, and operations to enable seamless, outcome-focused delivery.
  • Act as a role model for inclusive leadership, effective stakeholder engagement, and commercially focused decision-making in complex matrix environments.

Qualification & Requirements

  • An experienced leader with a strong track record of delivering highly complex technical and business change programmes at scale.
  • Comfortable operating in senior stakeholder and matrix environments, influencing across functions and geographies to drive alignment and results.
  • A clear and engaging communicator, able to translate complex change into meaningful messages for diverse audiences, from delivery teams to senior leaders.
  • Experienced in industry-standard programme and project management methodologies, with practical application of Agile, SAFe, and Lean approaches.
  • Degree educated or equivalent, with programme or project management accreditation such as MSP or PRINCE2; Agile, SAFe, or Lean certifications are valued. An MBA is advantageous.
