Description

Lead and optimize Carlsberg’s GCC, managed by GSPANN, in India. Drive scaling, process maturity, and integration with global teams while ensuring operational excellence and talent development.

 

Head – Carlsberg IT Global Capability Center

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead all GCC activities end-to-end, encompassing finance, legal, people, tax, and other operational matters to ensure comprehensive management and oversight.
  • Scale and strengthen existing operations and processes to ensure sustainable growth.
  • Build and enhance governance and compliance frameworks to maintain high standards in GCC.
  • Foster collaboration with global stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and alignment to Carlsberg’s ways of working.
  • Build and nurture a strong organizational culture within the GCC, ensuring cultural collaboration and alignment with Carlsberg’s growth culture principles across all levels of the organization.
  • Ensure talent attraction, retention, development and engagement initiatives to build a high-performing team culture in partnership with the People and Culture Team.
  • Ensure efficiency and budget compliance while operating and scaling GCC.
  • Oversee the transition of relevant vendor operations to the GCC via a build-operate-transfer model managing the partner supporting this initiative.
  • Create opportunities for capability building while optimizing resources and ensure the GCC is developed in alignment with the IT leadership team’s capability building expectations.
  • Manage budgets, KPIs, and overall operational performance to achieve strategic objectives for GCC.
  • Support other functions with feasibility analyses to clarify opportunities in order to expand within the similar GCC setup.
  • Drive continuous improvement and digital innovation to support Carlsberg’s transformation goals.

Qualification & Requirements

  • Experience: 18+ Years
  • Proven experience managing and building IT teams and GCC operations.
  • Strong background in IT service delivery, governance, and transformation.
  • Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.
  • Familiarity with global operating models and India’s talent landscape.
  • Experience with matrix organization and can navigate through it.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to influence and drive change across a global organisation
  • Strategic thinking, problem-solving abilities, strong analytical skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively in a cross-functional and multicultural environment
  • Experience in managing high-performing diverse teams incl. developing talent
  • Thrives in ambiguity and complexity, applying a strategic mindset and strong business insight to navigate challenges and make sound.
