Description

The Chief Operating Officer (COO) for the Global Shared Services Centre is a pivotal executive role responsible for shaping and delivering the operational strategy for our global support hub. The SSC provides specialist support across Finance, HR, Billing, Customer Support, IT and more. Driving efficiency, standardisation, and innovation across all operations.

Partnering with the General Manager for the Global Shared Services, the COO will ensure the centre operates as a world-class, high-performance engine delivering value at scale. You will be both a strategic architect and an operational driver, accountable for evolving the Shared Services into a best in class, next generation SSC organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Co‑lead the SSC and own the operational performance and long‑term vision.
  • Deliver a clear operational roadmap aligned to there global strategy.
  • Drive continuous improvement, automation, and digital transformation.
  • Set and uphold ambitious KPIs and performance standards across all service lines.

Operational Management

  • Oversee day to day operations across the global SSC.
  • Conduct deep root cause analysis and implement corrective plans to improve time, quality, and cost metrics.
  • Ensure compliance, governance, and adherence to global and local standards.
  • Implement best‑practice frameworks covering process design, service quality, risk and control.
  • Champion technology, data‑driven decision‑making, and advanced automation including AI tools.

People & Culture

  • Lead and motivate a workforce of 1,000+ colleagues.
  • Build a culture of accountability, performance, innovation, and engagement.
  • Partner with HR to identify and develop high potential talent.
  • Address performance issues proactively to drive excellence.
  • Maintain high visibility and strengthen communication across global teams.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as the key liaison between the SSC and senior business leaders worldwide.
  • Build strong relationships to anticipate needs, address challenges, and deliver business‑aligned solutions.
  • Represent the SSC’s impact at global forums and governance sessions.
  • Serve as a visible ambassador for the Manila centre.

Qualification & Requirements

  • A proven track record in senior operational leadership roles, ideally in global shared service centres or large multinational organisations.
  • Demonstrated success in operational transformation, efficiency improvement, and large scale performance uplift.
  • Strength in evaluating, reshaping, and building high performing management teams in complex environments.
  • Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to influence, inspire, and lead through change.
  • Strong communication skills and the resilience to manage competing priorities at pace.
  • A results driven mindset with a relentless focus on quality, service, and continuous improvement.
