Global Head of HR Shared Services (HR Operations, Digital & Compliance) a leading MNC crypto exchange

We are seeking an experienced and highly capable Global Head of HR Shared Services to lead and scale our global HR operations platform. This role will oversee end-to-end HR shared services, HRIS and digital transformation initiatives, global HR compliance, and policy governance across multiple regions.

The ideal candidate brings a strong all-rounded HR background (HRG / HRBP / HR Operations) and has successfully evolved into a strategic leader in HR systems, shared services, compliance, and digital transformation. This role is critical in building a scalable, compliant, and technology-enabled HR infrastructure to support global business growth.

Global Head of HR Shared Services (SSC – HRIS & HR Compliance & HR Governance)

Key Responsibilities

Global HR Shared Services Leadership

  • Lead and manage the global HR Shared Services Centre (SSC), covering core HR operations including employee lifecycle management, payroll coordination, benefits administration, employee data management, and HR service delivery.
  • Design, standardize, and continuously optimize global HR processes, SOPs, and service models to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
  • Establish and monitor SLAs, KPIs, and service governance frameworks across regions.

HRIS & Digital Transformation

  • Own the global HRIS strategy, implementation, optimization, and ongoing governance (e.g. Workday, SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle HCM, or equivalent).
  • Drive HR digital transformation initiatives including automation, workflow optimization, self-service solutions, data analytics, and system integrations.
  • Partner closely with IT, Finance, and external vendors to ensure system stability, data integrity, cybersecurity, and compliance.

HR Compliance, Policies & Risk Management

  • Act as the global owner of HR compliance, ensuring alignment with local labor laws, regulatory requirements, and internal governance standards across all operating jurisdictions.
  • Lead the development, review, and maintenance of global and regional HR policies, employee handbooks, and compliance frameworks.
  • Support internal and external audits, regulatory reviews, and risk assessments related to HR operations and employee data.

Governance, Controls & Stakeholder Management

  • Establish strong governance models for HR operations, data privacy (e.g. GDPR, PDPO), and internal controls.
  • Partner with regional HR leaders, Legal, Finance, and senior management to ensure consistent policy application while allowing for local flexibility.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leadership on HR operational risks, system capabilities, and transformation roadmaps.

Team Leadership & Capability Building

  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing global HR operations and systems team.
  • Upskill HR teams on systems, data literacy, compliance awareness, and standardized service delivery.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, operational excellence, and digital mindset within HR.

Qualification & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Systems, or related fields.
  • 15+ years of progressive HR experience, with a strong foundation in HRG / HRBP / HR Operations.
  • Proven leadership experience in global HR Shared Services, preferably in a multi-country or matrix organization.
  • Deep expertise in HRIS platforms, system implementation, optimization, and HR digital transformation.
  • Strong knowledge of global HR compliance, labor laws, HR policies, internal controls, and data privacy regulations.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead large-scale change, process re-engineering, and cross-functional transformation projects.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills; able to work effectively with senior executives and regional teams.
  • Fluent in English; Mandarin or other Asian languages is a strong advantage.
