Description

SEI India seeks to hire an experienced HR Director for its Global Capability Center (GCC) and support broader APAC operations and growth . This role will primarily focus on scaling and driving HR strategy for the GCC, ensuring alignment with global priorities while tailoring solutions to the local context. The HR Director will partner closely with global HR leadership and business stakeholders to embed culture, enhance employee experience, and enable operational growth. Operating within an established HR ecosystem, this leader will leverage existing policies, benefits, and infrastructure while introducing best practices to support expansion across APAC.

This position will manage and provide strategic planning and operational oversight of the following broad HR functions with indicative responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

  • Shape and execute HR strategy in alignment with global HR practices and business priorities.
  • Serve as the senior HR leader for SEI’s India GCC and APAC region, partnering with executives and senior leadership to drive organizational alignment, workforce planning, and talent strategies that enable business growth.

Talent Acquisition

  • Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies to ensure alignment with organizational needs.
  • Support workforce planning, internal mobility, and talent pipeline development.

HR Operations & Compliance

  • Lead seamless delivery of HR operations, ensuring alignment with global processes while adapting to local needs.
  • Ensure full compliance with labor laws and statutory requirements across India and APAC, including the Shops & Establishments Act and other regional regulations, by partnering with legal and compliance teams to uphold regulatory standards and mitigate risk.

Collaboration & Influence

  • Collaborate with the global HR leadership team, function areas, and India HR to ensure consistency and alignment.
  • Proactively negotiate and manage expectations cross-functionally across departments, impacting timelines and strategic direction.

Client Service & Change Management

  • Manage HR strategy, thought leadership, and change initiatives. Take ownership of policy development, project leadership, and communication planning.
  • Monitor HR metrics and dashboards to identify process gaps, drive continuous improvement, and support data-driven decision-making.

Business & Industry Expertise

  • Demonstrate advanced understanding of the business line and expand knowledge of SEI’s competitive landscape.
  • An understanding of the GCC ecosystem, including talent market dynamics, regulatory environment, and best practices for scaling operations in a competitive and innovation-driven landscape.

Qualification & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field (Advanced degree or certification is a plus).
  • 15+ years of progressive HR experience, including leadership roles in global environments.
  • Experience supporting or scaling a GCC
  • Strong understanding of labor laws and HR operations and best practices.
  • Strong ability to influence across global and local stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
  • Prior experience working in India a plus
