As the Benefits, Compensation, & HR Shared Services Director, you’ll lead with purpose and precision. You’ll be responsible for the strategic direction, design, and administration of our benefits programs and HR operations, and support compensation across the U.S. and Canada. You’ll also lead a high-performing team, streamline processes, and ensure we deliver best-in-class service to every employee.
Please note – this role can be based anywhere in the US, and is subject to periodic on-site/local visits, as needed.
Key Responsibilities
Benefits Strategy & Execution
- Design and implement competitive, cost-effective benefits programs that align with our business goals and support our people.
- Serve as the subject matter expert in all areas of benefits, with a particular focus on leave administration.
- Evaluate vendors, negotiate contracts, and manage relationships to ensure optimal value and service.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and regulatory changes to maintain compliance and market competitiveness.
- Lead annual enrollment, communications, and employee education initiatives with clarity and impact.
- Use data to drive decisions and communicate benefits clearly to all stakeholders—from executives to employees.
HR Shared Services Leadership
- Develop and optimize processes, procedures, and controls to deliver consistent, high-quality HR support.
- Leverage technology and automation to streamline service delivery and improve employee experience.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
- Act as a trusted advisor to internal stakeholders on benefits and HR operations.
Compensation
- Bring a depth of expertise and knowledge around base and variable pay, executive compensation, equity program management, regulatory compliance, and innovative compensation approaches and solutions.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to communicate the company’s compensation philosophy and structure.
- Leverage data to support business decisions and recommendations.
- Ensure employee recognition programs drive engagement and align with our culture
Team & Culture
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team—building a culture of accountability, collaboration, and growth.
- Be hands-on and unafraid to roll up your sleeves to get things done.
- Challenge assumptions and drive continuous improvement across all areas of responsibility.
- Support M&A activities, including due diligence and post-close integration.
- Embody and champion the CLEAResult mission, values, and culture.
Qualification & Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in benefits and shared services, with 5+ years in a leadership role.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Proven expertise in benefits design and administration, especially leave management.
- Demonstrated record of streamlining processes and leveraging technology to deliver best-in-class results.
- A passion for finding innovative ways to deliver competitive, cost-effective benefits.
- Exceptional communication skills—you can translate complex information into clear, actionable insights for any audience.
- A history of developing talent and leading high-performing teams with empathy and accountability.
- Experience in a private equity environment is a plus.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel); Power BI and Workday experience preferred.
- High energy, self-motivation, and resilience in a fast-paced, feedback-driven environment.
