Senior Manager, Operational Finance, GBS – Finance Transformation

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Manager within the GBS team focusing on ERP-enabled transformation and transactional finance, you will have responsibility for the following:

  • Analytical Thinking and Problem Solving – Make decisions with confidence based on analysis of available information to drive business success
  • Business Process & Technology Acumen – Articulate informed opinions to address clients’ business challenges, by shaping the transformation strategy at the intersection of process, people, data, and technology
  • Delivery Excellence – Lead projects and provide strategic direction across the account to deliver a superior client experience by developing the approach to solve complex client issues based and by providing project management expertise including senior stakeholder management
  • Driving Change and Adoption – Communicate messages with clarity and confidence to senior stakeholders
  • Executive Presence – Project confidence, establish credibility with and influence clients at all levels
  • Intrapreneurship – generate innovative ideas and turn them into profitable business opportunities for our clients and the Firm
  • Knows the Business and Sector – Advise the client to make decisions that positively impact return on investment; provides subject matter expertise on sector trends and leading practices

Qualification & Requirements

Your professional experience should include:

  • Prior work experience within finance transformation, finance operating model and service delivery model, financial processes design/standardisation, automation and change management
  • Experience in working in multi-functional teams in the design and/or implementation phases more than one of the following elements: Finance Function Strategy, Roadmap, Business case, Operating model development (incl. Enabling Technologies), Organisation Design, Service Performance Management, Governance, and Operational Support Processes.
  • Experience in at least one of the core finance processes: Record to Report, project and fixed asset accounting, intercompany accounting, Order to Cash, Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting, main Finance related policies, Procure to Pay and others)
  • Experience within Robotic Process Automation, Cloud based technologies and working with the Finance function would be beneficial
  • Experience in at least one of the following – stakeholder management, change management, learning and development, capability development and build, succession planning and / or leadership development
  • Understanding and gathering client business requirements; supporting effective day to day client relationships
  • Experience in Finance Systems Implementation projects such as testing, design – or agile experience for supporting a technology delivery
  • Experience working with Finance software vendors both in go-to-market activities, and design and implementation of the technology and surrounding processes and change management (e.g. BlackLine, High Radius, Kyriba, Xelix, etc.)
  • Some experience in the use of BI, reporting and data visualisation technologies to appropriately represent information and analysis
  • Work effectively in a team environment on client facing environment
  • Experience working in Data Architecture, ETL development, and Data Warehousing across Finance and Accounting processes
  • Holds skills and/or proficiency in the following: SQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle SQL, Tableau, Python, VBA, Outsystems, QlikView and ACL and other similar tools
  • Finance professional qualification such as (but not limited to): ACA, ACCA, CIMA
