Description
Our client is one of the global banking firms which is building a Global Capability Centre in Chennai to support its global finance operations. We are seeking a seasoned candidate to join their Financial Operations team. This role involves leading and scaling centralized finance operations across markets, ensuring high-quality and efficient service delivery while partnering closely with global stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute a finance operations service delivery strategy covering FP&A support, accounting operations, AP / AR, treasury support, tax operations, and financial reporting.
- Build and lead centralized finance shared services, establishing SLAs, KPIs, and governance to deliver consistent, cost-effective outcomes across markets.
- Drive standardization and continuous improvement, balancing global process consistency with local statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Strengthen governance, controls, and audit readiness, ensuring robust documentation, compliance, and effective risk management.
- Lead technology enablement and automation, partnering with IT to drive ERP enhancements, RPA, analytics, and data-driven decision support.
Qualification & Requirements
- 15+ years of finance operations experience, with 5+ years in senior leadership roles within a GCC or shared services environment.
- Strong expertise across finance processes, including accounting, FP&A support, financial reporting, AP / AR, treasury, and tax operations.
- Proven experience building and scaling shared services, managing transitions, and delivering against SLAs and cost targets.
- Hands-on exposure to ERP platforms and finance automation, with a strong understanding of controls, compliance, and audit requirements.
- Excellent stakeholder and people leadership skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and lead high-performing teams across regions.
