Description
The Shared Service Centre, Senior Manager plays a critical role in enhancing the financial infrastructure and processes of Vantage EMEA. This position is responsible for Accounts Payable Team, Accounts Receivable Team, managing and optimising processes, leading transformational projects, and ensuring that the financial operations align with the strategic objectives of the business. The role requires a blend of financial expertise, project management skills, and a deep understanding of Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams, overseeing all daily functions in these finance areas ensuring all service levels are met
- Lead, mentor, and develop all direct reports and teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment with a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
- Continuously identify opportunities for process enhancements to ensure best practices are followed to optimise workload and improve operation efficiency
- Manage change management activities to ensure smooth transitions during transformations.
- Plan, execute, and oversee financial transformation projects from conception to completion, collaborating with stakeholders internally and externally to ensure smooth and successful rollouts
- Provide comprehensive end-user support, troubleshooting issues and ensuring user satisfaction
- Ensure that the company’s internal financial control systems, processes and policies are complied with by all parts of the Company’s operations
- Oversee key reconciliations for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable vs balance sheet, working closely with the Accountants and Financial Controllers
- Communicate and co-ordinate effectively with stakeholders and external advisors to manage expectations and deliver results
- Provide training and support to end-users to maximize the adoption and effectiveness of financial systems.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial data collection and reporting.
- Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to support decision-making
- Ensure that accurate financial records and financial information is recorded and communicated in a timely and precise manner, to identify trends and provide insights to leadership.
- Work under limited supervision, both independently and within a team environment
- Frequent contact with external 3rd party vendors and customers
Qualification & Requirements
- Proven track record of successfully managing a Shared Service Centre team (Accounts Payable and/or Accounts Receivable Team)
- 3+ years in a mid-senior role
- Practical knowledge of implementing and managing new processes integrated within systems
- Familiarity with data analytics tools
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication, interpersonal and training skills
- Proficient in financial systems and software with experience in finance transformation preferred, not required
- Accounting experience preferred, not required
- Understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Excellent organisational skills, the ability to manage multiple projects and deliver to tight deadlines under pressure.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written) with the ability to communicate internally with team members as well as externally with vendors and other service providers.
- Experience of managing relationships with external advisors and consultants
- Assertive and confident with a high level of personal and professional credibility
- Excellent planning and organisation skills with the ability to manage conflicting priorities and meet tight deadlines
- Assertive and confident and able to quickly build a high level of personal and professional credibility within the business and customer base
- Ability to build strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders, influencing and negotiating at the most senior levels
- Work effectively in collaboration cross-functionally to achieve shared goals and deliver business objectives
- Confident decision maker, even with incomplete or limited information
- Ability to work on a hybrid basis; 3 days in the office as a minimum
- Travel is expected to be less than 5%, occasionally for training purposes
