Description

The Global Business Services (GBS) function is a new and critical team designed to centralize and standardize CoreWeave’s foundational business processes across Finance, HR, and Procurement. We are a results-oriented, highly collaborative, and technically-minded team reporting into the Head of Global Business Services with a mandate to drive transformation and operational maturity as CoreWeave scales globally and matures as a public company.

The Senior Manager, GBS will establish and lead our GBS function, driving efficiency and excellence across our core business processes. You will be responsible for defining and optimizing global end-to-end business processes, ensuring compliance, and delivering measurable improvements in efficiency and service quality across our worldwide operations. This involves leading a global team, championing process automation, and acting as a key partner to executive stakeholders to support CoreWeave’s hyper-growth. You will be directly responsible for establishing robust controls and metrics-driven service delivery for critical back-office functions.

Senior Manager, Global Business Services

Key Responsibilities

  • Process Excellence & Standardization: Define, map, and implement global, standardized, and best-in-class end-to-end processes for Procure-to-Pay (P2P), Hire-to-Retire (HR), and Record-to-Report (R2R). Drive continuous process improvement initiatives leveraging lean methodologies to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Performance Management & Reporting: Define, track, and report on Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for all GBS functions. You will be strong on reporting and actioning on KPIs, using data analytics to identify bottlenecks, drive continuous improvement, and measure service delivery effectiveness across the globe.
  • Operational Management: Partner with each of the GBS shared services functions, ensuring timely and accurate execution of tasks related to managing departmental budgets and invoices, vendor management, training and financial closing procedures.
  • Compliance & Governance: Establish robust internal controls and processes to ensure GBS complies with SOX 404 requirements. You’ll manage operational risk, third-party providers, and ensure business continuity for GBS operations.
  • Technology & Digital Transformation: Champion the implementation and optimization of GBS technology platforms (e.g., ERP, workflow automation tools like RPA) to maximize efficiency, data quality, and scalability.
  • Stakeholder Partnership & Communication: Utilize excellent communication and partnership skills to act as a key strategic partner to global functional leaders (Finance, HR, Procurement) to manage SLAs and align GBS strategy with CoreWeave’s objectives.
  • Project & Change Management: Own and drive large-scale, cross-functional projects, such as system implementations (e.g., ERP upgrades, HRIS rollouts), M&A integrations to the GBS processes, or process re-engineering efforts. Demonstrate strong project management skills to deliver projects on time and within budget.

Qualification & Requirements

Who You Are:

  • 8+ years of progressive experience in Finance, Operations, or Shared Services, with at least 3 years in a management role leading a Global Business Services or Shared Services organization.
  • Mandatory experience working in a publicly traded company environment, with a strong, practical understanding of SOX 404 compliance, internal controls, and financial reporting requirements.
  • Demonstrable track record of scaling global shared service centers, including experience managing teams across different geographies and time zones.
  • Deep expertise in business process analysis, design, and implementation, specifically related to procure-to-pay, record-to-report, and Hire-to-Retire.
  • Proven ability to manage significant departmental budgets and invoicing processes, with an eye toward cost optimization and control.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.

Preferred:

  • Experience within the technology, cloud, or high-growth startup sector.
  • Proficiency with major ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite), Procurement systems (Coupa, Netsuite) and HRIS systems (e.g., Workday).
  • PMP, Six Sigma, or similar certification nice to have
