Konica Minolta currently has an exciting opportunity for an Area VP Service – South!

The South Region of Konica Minolta’s Direct Organization is currently seeking to add an Area Vice President (AVP) within the Service Organization. This position reports to the Region Vice President of Service and is accountable to deliver a consistent, high level of customer service by a team of highly motivated and highly skilled, certified technicians.

The Konica Minolta Service AVP position is responsible for analyzing financial and field operations data to identify opportunities and implement action plans to meet and exceed budgeted service revenue, control service operational costs and assure service profit goals are met. The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring a high level of business support, assisting Branch Service Managers to meet or exceed performance goals and financial plans. Within assigned marketplace, the AVP is also responsible to assist Sales Executives, Sales Managers, Branch Managers and Market Vice Presidents with developing and securing new business, in addition to maintaining and strengthening current customer relationships.

Success in this position depends on building strong internal company relationships through effective communication, in order to encourage teamwork between team members in all departments within Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A., Inc.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver overall profit and loss objectives through direct leadership of all Service functions.
  • Ensure a high measure of customer satisfaction throughout division as measured by customer surveys, research and feedback.
  • Assist Branch Administrators and Branch Service Managers to assure all process and procedure activities related to service revenue generation, are followed and timely executed with accurate reporting of the monthly results.
  • Develop and monitor reporting processes/programs to maximize Konica Minolta financial results, analyzing trends to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Develop/implement tools and reporting which enable operational efficiencies.
  • Prepare documentation and conduct operational plan and reviews on a monthly basis in all assigned branches.
  • Monitor key service metrics by product and identifies inconsistencies, as well as exemplary performance within assigned branches.
  • Prepare and monitor field staffing requirements and productivity modeling.
  • Oversee all company assets, including technician issued notebook computers, mobile field service device, parts inventory, parts usage and expensing practices.
  • Act as a focal point to resolve customer issues.
  • Assist senior management in the Konica Minolta customer bid process, including service pricing and profitability activities and analysis.
  • Initiate and execute required performance management related activities.
  • Follow all Human Resource prescribed direction and activities.

Qualification & Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, a related field or the equivalent.
  • 10 years of experience in a service-related area, preferably in support of a Field Service operation.
  • Prior supervisory and leadership experience is required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Motivate the Service team to deliver consistently excellent customer service as measured by established metrics.
  • Effectively perform as Teacher, Coach, Manager and Mentor with all new and current Service Managers on all aspects of the service business.
