Head of Finance (Shared Service Center)

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end setup of the Finance Shared Services Center, including design, planning, implementation, and transition phases.
• Develop and execute the operating model, governance structure, and service delivery framework for the SSC.
• Drive process migration and knowledge transfer from existing business units to the SSC.
• Establish KPIs, SLAs, and performance dashboards to monitor SSC performance and service quality.
• Provide financial and operational leadership for the SSC, aligning with group finance strategy and business goals.
• Partner with the Group CFO, regional finance heads, and functional leaders to ensure seamless alignment and collaboration.
• Lead a high-performing team of finance professionals across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, GL, Reporting, and FP&A.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement, process automation, and digital transformation within the SSC.
• Ensure all SSC operations comply with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls.
• Oversee audit processes, risk management, and SOX/internal control compliance (where applicable).
• Maintain high accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting and closing processes.
• Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives (Lean / Six Sigma / RPA).
• Drive cost optimization, efficiency gains, and service excellence.
• Lead automation initiatives leveraging ERP systems and digital tools.

Qualification & Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Professional qualification preferred (e.g. ACCA, CPA, CIMA).
• Minimum 12 years of finance experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership role within a Shared Services or Global Business Services (GBS) environment.
• Proven track record in setting up or transitioning Finance SSCs (start-up or transformation phase).
• Strong knowledge of end-to-end finance processes (P2P, O2C, R2R, FP&A).
• Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent) and finance automation tools.
• Excellent stakeholder management, project leadership, and communication skills.
• Strong change management and cross-cultural collaboration abilities.
