Description
We are seeking a strategic and execution-driven Head of GBS to build and lead a new finance focused GBS operation for a global professional services firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end launch of the GBS Centre, managing the design, staffing, and scale-up activities to achieve operational go-live.
- Provide local operational oversight across key functions, including Finance, People Services, Technology, and Business Support.
- Serve as the senior local finance services leader, ensuring seamless delivery and coordination within the global finance structure.
- Establish governance (SLAs/KPIs), and drive continuous improvement through standardization and automation.
- Build and lead a high-performing, multidisciplinary team while acting as the primary interface with global GBS executive leadership.
Qualification & Requirements
- 10–15 years of progressive finance leadership experience (e.g., Financial Controller, Finance Operations Director), including deep expertise in the BSC sector.
- Proven success in the mobilization, launch, or major transformation of multi-functional shared services operations.
- Deep understanding of end-to-end finance processes (P2P, R2R, O2C), compliance, and internal controls.
- Demonstrated strong leadership, influencing, and change management skills within complex, matrixed, and international organizations.
- Fluency in both English and Hungarian is required. French is a plus
