Description

Provide senior project management leadership to Konica Minolta external customer and internal programs and projects.

The selected individual will be expected to manage a variety of complex and high-profile programs and projects in large global enterprise environments. The Global Project Manager applies professional PMI principles, practices, and techniques to lead external and internal customer project teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish realistic goals and implement action plans for achieving set objectives
  • Guide and direct project team members to ensure compliance with set standards, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Ensure availability of financial, material and human resources required to complete a project successfully
  • Evaluate the progress of a project to detect limitations or faults to seek solutions to a more efficient process
  • Develop internal communication strategies useful in ensuring communication between various stakeholders, departments of an organization
  • Use specialized tools and techniques to delegate and ensure even distribution of tasks to project team members
  • Participate in educational programs to update job knowledge and expand personal network
  • Motivate team members to meet project goals by effectively carrying out their responsibilities
  • Offer solutions effective in meeting set targets and satisfying client requirements
  • Manage every aspect of a project, including its planning, communication, risk assessment, and resources.

Qualification & Requirements

Project engagement requirements will include:

  • Assistance in customer pre-sale activities, creation and management of project plans and schedules, project track of milestones and deliverables and continuously monitor risks to ensure success.

Education & Training

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Project Management or related discipline
  • Project Management Certification (PMI PMP/ Prince2 Practitioner PMP and/or Agile and/or Six Sigma certification)

Leadership Skill

  • Able to direct the operations of a project unit to ensure set goals are achieved

Problem-solving skills

  • Apply project management principles and methodologies in seeking solutions to project problems
  • 5+ years of experience in people and resource management are essential to the position
  • 5+ years of experience in solutions integration, global operations, software development, document management, managed print services, IT operations, or business process management.
  • Strong leadership, organizational and interpersonal skills; the ability to work well with people from different disciplines and cultures; competence in clear concise, and tactful communication with senior executive management, clients, peers, and team members.
  • Prior experience managing multi-country programs/projects is highly desirable.
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding project goals and objectives.
  • Can conform to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines through analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong writing, mentoring, decision making, communication, and meeting facilitation skills
  • Ability to train and mentor junior project managers and operational management teams in project and process management methodologies.
  • Knowledge of and competency in project management processes including planning, resource allocation, risk management, time management, financial management, HR management, quality management, monitoring, and reporting, documenting, and record keeping.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to manage deadline pressure, ambiguity, and change.
