As a Senior Program Manager, Travel and Card, in Finance Operations, you will play a pivotal role in driving operational excellence across global enterprise business programs. You will set the strategy for the program, lead initiatives that enhance compliance, streamline processes and improve the effectiveness of large scale operations. Senior Program Manager, Travel and Card

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze Travel and Card Program data to identify opportunities that improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Communicate Travel and Card program value and impact using data-driven storytelling, dashboards, and performance metrics (e.g., OKRs – Objectives and Key Results, KPIs – Key Performance Indicators).
  • Lead change management initiatives by defining vision, securing sponsorship, and driving adoption through structured communication and stakeholder engagement.
  • Develop and execute communication and landing plans, ensuring alignment with Microsoft’s security principles and rhythm of business (ROB).
  • Collaborate across teams (e.g., Procurement, Engineering, Treasury, Compliance) and external partners to ensure seamless execution of strategic initiatives.
  • Drive governance and compliance across outsourced travel and card operations, including SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley) controls, SLA (Service Level Agreement) adherence, and risk mitigation.
  • Lead business reviews and use analytics to monitor program health, assess risks, and optimize execution, including sunsetting or scaling programs as needed.
  • Identify root causes of process issues and implement improvements to standard operating procedures and policies.
  • Ensure all program activities align with organizational strategy and maintain a robust control environment.
  • Manage a portfolio of process excellence projects supporting initiatives such as automation, RFP (Request for Proposal) transitions, and global process standardization.

Qualification & Requirements

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Operations, Finance, or related field AND 4+ years experience in program management, process management, or process improvement OR equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of relevant operations work experience in large size organization(s).

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Business, Operations, Finance, or related field AND 6+ years experience in program management, process management, or process improvement OR
    •  Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Operations, Finance, or related field AND 8+ years experience in program management, process management, or process improvement OR
    • Equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of relevant work experience in Operations, preferably in a large size international organization.
  • Process excellence experience in Shared Service Center/Outsourcing environment.
  • Strategic and tactical skills, project management experience and demonstrated ability to implement change
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity and adept at using data to influence business decision making.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all levels within an organization, as well as establish trust quickly and create win-win situations.
  • Ability to travel minimally, preferably both domestic and international.
