Description

This position is responsible for leading a team of 6 to administer the operational components of Purchase Market contracts including Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs), Specialty Pharmacies and generics (Winthrop). The Director will ensure that all payments and fees are appropriately and accurately paid in a timely manner in accordance with contract terms. This position will lead the compliance and process control of all Purchase Market contract administration and processes. The role will work directly with Market Access Shared Services leadership (VP, AVP, Senior Director of Contract Operations and Contract Development) as well as Account Management and Value & Access teams.

Director, Market Access Contract Operations

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and oversight of Purchase Market Operations to include:

  • Group Purchasing Organizations (GPOs), Specialty Pharmacy and generics contract obligations across all portfolio products for both General Medicines and Specialty
  • Ensure full compliance of all contractual terms
  • Volume performance analyses, contract eligibility determinations, product and pricing updates and administrative and rebate payment submissions
  • In conjunction with Pricing & Analytics and Contract Development, implement and maintain product and customer contract strategies for in-market and launch products
  • Provide robust payment analyses and share with all key internal and external stakeholders, as appropriate
  • Provide insights to Contract Development related to operational components of our contracts
  • Leverage the commonalities across the three Purchase Market teams to align processes and improve efficiency
  • Direct day-to-day activities, training and career development of team members
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders including Government Pricing, Pricing & Analytics, Contract Development, Finance, Digital, Legal, Winthrop brand team, Account Management and Value & Access
  • Collaborate with Operations Excellence Systems team to ensure all new contract strategies can be administered within our system
  • Collaborate with Chargeback / Customer Management Lead to help address and resolve issues
  • Co-Owner for Operations SOX processes and enforce compliance standards

Qualification & Requirements

Educational Background

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university
  • Area of specialization: Finance or Accounting
  • MBA OR EQUIVALENT EXPERIENCE Preferred

Job Related Experience

  • Minimum 8+ years of progressive experience in Market Access, Finance and/or Consulting
  • Experience/knowledge of Model N system preferred
