Description

The Sr. Manager – HR Systems is responsible for overall technical ownership of the UKG/Kronos employee timekeeping and advanced labor scheduling application used in the Retail, Manufacturing, and Corporate locations across North America. As the subject matter expert of the system, the position is responsible for delivering projects, performing design/development/implementation activities, supporting end users, assisting with system monitoring activities, developing the system roadmap, and serving as an escalation point for issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serves as the overall subject matter expert for the system
  • Accountable for the successful delivery of assigned projects following established standards/guidelines,
  • Coordinates with project managers and management regarding day-to-day management of project schedule, budget, and scope; facilitating the procurement process by working with Legal and Procurement; managing and providing oversight of project tasks; managing vendor resources; facilitating conflict resolution; reporting project status
  • Oversees project development activities, resolving difficult and complex problems/integration issues
  • Leads and/or facilitates system testing, provides input for training and end user support/coaching for new functionality as needed.
  • Acts as a primary liaison between IT, brands, and business areas to ensure strategic alignment, project delivery, and development of cooperative/constructive/effective relationships.
  • Assists with developing system strategy, planning, and roadmap evolution
  • Assists with the collection and prioritization of incoming demand
  • Partners with HR Operations to support system administration and monitoring responsibilities including ensuring seamless integration with payroll processes, maintaining system configuration, performing data accuracy and system health checks, ensuring compliance with applicable labor/regulatory/legal requirements
  • Collaborates with users to provide technical support, solicit ideas for system improvements, ensure system adoption and ease of use
  • Identifies, assesses impact, escalates (as needed), and resolves system issues, including serving as an escalation point
  • Identifies and implements continuous improvement solutions

Qualification & Requirements

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Technology, Business or related field
  • 8+ years’ experience with UKG/Kronos functionality & implemenations
  • 10+ years’ experience in information technology field
  • 6+ years’ experience in project management discipline
  • 2+ years’ experience in Kronos project management
  • Multiple project experiences implementing UKG/Kronos using standard project management methodologies
  • Experience with major software development & implementation activities
  • Demonstrated experience working effectively within a team structure
  • Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
  • Leads and directs the work of others
  • Highly proficient and knowledgeable in MS Office applications; Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Fluent with business level English both verbal and written
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information both verbal and in various systems
  • Ability to travel
