Description

The Head of Customer Lifecycle Marketing is a strategic and results-driven role that contributes to the effectiveness and optimization of our end-to-end customer journey. This individual will collaborate closely with Demand Generation, Growth Marketing, Communications, Design, and Product teams to deliver seamless and impactful lifecycle marketing strategies.

You will guide customers through the funnel, convert them based on key lifecycle objectives, and continuously improve performance metrics across marketing and communication touchpoints. Leading a team that includes a Marketing Automation Lead and a Digital Marketing Specialist, you will own the strategy and execution of lifecycle marketing campaigns. You will work collaboratively to achieve revenue objectives by driving customer acquisition, retention, and engagement strategies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Lifecycle Strategy. Develop and implement customer lifecycle strategies that align with business goals and objectives. Engage in projects with outcomes that improve customer journey or experience of customers at different stages of their lifecycle – from awareness, engagement, conversion, and retention. Leverage customer data or insights to identify and create ideal segmentations and/or personalized experiences that maximize success in acquisition and conversion of users. Independently or collaboratively, develop and implement campaigns or initiatives that drive customer acquisition, conversion or retention, including cross-selling opportunities across products. Map customer journeys, identify gaps, and optimize communication touchpoints.
  • Performance & Revenue Alignment. Partner with Growth Marketing, Sales, and Product or Design teams to identify goals and objectives that ensure lifecycle marketing efforts directly contribute to revenue growth targets.
  • Omnichannel Campaign Management. Design, execute, and optimize lifecycle marketing campaigns using various channelsTo ensure consistent touchpoints, identify the best or preferred channel of engagementMaintain channel performance benchmarks (from email, SMS, push, app, and web)Leverage marketing automation tools to deliver personalized and scalable campaigns at each stage of the customer lifecycle.
  • Funnel Optimization. Use data-driven insights to improve campaigns, messaging, and channel strategies. Execute A/B testing to validate hypotheses to refine content, creatives, and offers. Identify bottlenecks & implement solutions that effectively move customers through the funnel. Collaboration with key teams (Growth Marketing, Communications, Product, Design) ensures a holistic approach to user funnel management and customer experience.
  • Customer Insights & Data Utilization. Utilize behavioral or transactional data to inform lifecycle strategiesStudy, learn and understand intents and appetite by executing experimentation and analysisCollaborate with data teams to derive actionable insights from data coming from platforms like Customer.io, Mixpanel, Tableau, HubSpot, and Salesforce.
  • Campaign Maintenance and Analytics. Monitor and analyze key performance metrics, including funnel conversion rates, engagement rates, and campaign effectiveness, to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Stakeholder Engagement. As a shared service center, work with different marketing teams to provide lifecycle marketing support. Work closely with Product and Design teams to ensure initiatives align with expected user experience. Partner with Communications to align messaging and brand consistency.

Qualification & Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in lifecycle marketing, customer engagement, or related roles
  • Proven track record of leading and mentoring marketing teams
  • Expertise in marketing automation platforms (examples: Customer.io, HubSpot, Salesforce or similar)
  • Proficient in analytics tools like Mixpanel and Tableau to track and interpret data
  • Strong understanding of segmentation, personalization, and omnichannel marketing
  • Ability to collaborate across teams and influence without direct authority
  • Results-oriented with a focus on measurable outcomes
  • Creative problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced, innovative environment with varying project streams
  • Major plus: Experience or familiarity with fintech, lending and salary loan products. Years of service in the fintech or financial services industry
