Description

We are seeking an inspiring and strategic Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead the build-up and long-term growth of our Finance, Operations, and Technology capabilities within our Manila Centre of Excellence (CoE). This role is pivotal in shaping Manila into a world-class hub that delivers critical business services and technology solutions to our global network.

As the senior leader in Manila, you will own the vision, strategy, and execution for the CoE, ensuring it delivers robust, scalable, and secure services that align with global business objectives. This is a unique opportunity to architect the future operating model, build high-performing teams across functions, and position Manila as a strategic innovation and delivery powerhouse.

Key Responsibilities

Vision, Strategy & Growth

  • Develop and own the long-term strategy for Finance, Operations, and Technology in Manila, aligned with global objectives.
  • Drive innovation and process excellence, positioning Manila as a key strategic hub for the organization.
  • Identify opportunities to expand capabilities, strengthen resilience, and enhance operational efficiency across all functions.

Leadership & Organization Development

  • Build and lead high-performing teams in Finance, Operations, and Technology, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Establish governance frameworks and ensure compliance with global standards, risk management practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Act as the senior representative for the Manila CoE in regional and global leadership forums.

Technology & Operations Delivery

  • Oversee the design, implementation, and management of critical technology platforms, infrastructure, and business processes.
  • Ensure operational resilience, cybersecurity, and service quality across the CoE’s functions.
  • Implement best practices in project delivery (Agile, Lean, Six Sigma) to improve productivity and quality.

Finance & Shared Services

  • Lead the build-out of Finance operations, ensuring strong financial governance, reporting accuracy, and compliance with global policies.
  • Partner with global Finance leadership to deliver standardized processes and shared service efficiencies.
  • Drive cost optimization while maintaining high service delivery standards.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with global and regional leaders to ensure alignment of Manila’s priorities with enterprise-wide strategies.
  • Champion cross-functional initiatives that unlock new business opportunities and enhance client and stakeholder experience.

Qualification & Requirements

  • Proven track record in senior leadership roles (e.g., CTO, COO, Head of Shared Services) within financial services or similarly regulated industries.
  • Experience in building and scaling multi-functional teams (Technology, Finance, Operations) in an offshore or shared services environment.
  • Strong expertise in technology strategy, infrastructure, software delivery, cybersecurity, and emerging tech.
  • Deep understanding of operational governance, risk management, and compliance in global organizations.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence at the highest levels.
  • Commercial acumen to balance innovation, cost, risk, and quality objectives.
  • Experience driving transformation programs across multiple disciplines.

Preferred:

  • Previous leadership experience in Manila or comparable offshore hubs.
  • Familiarity with the Philippine financial and regulatory landscape.
  • Passion for diversity, inclusion, and developing talent.
