Description

We are seeking a dynamic professional who brings strong finance knowledge, deep process expertise, and world-class capabilities to help clients deliver measurable business value. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with finance technology solutions, especially BlackLine, and will be instrumental in leading project delivery, driving business development, and shaping strategic finance transformation initiatives.

Digital Finance Manager – Enabling Technologies

Key Responsibilities

Project Leadership:

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of finance technology projects, ensuring high quality within budget and time constraints
  • Oversee solution design, application blueprinting, data modelling, proof-of-concept development, and system implementation

Client Engagement:

  • Drive key client interactions, lead workshops, and present recommendations to senior stakeholders during management reviews and steering committee meetings
  • Understand client needs, assess project requirements, and propose the most suitable technology and process solutions

Business Development & Sales Support:

  • Drive the sales pipeline, including leading business development initiatives, demos, and proposal creation
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create winning solutions aligned to client objectives

Expertise in Finance Technology (BlackLine):

  • Work with leading global clients to assess, design, and implement finance technology solutions, especially BlackLine
  • Provide thought leadership in process automation and optimization using technology platforms

Continuous Improvement:

  • Contribute to the evolution of delivery methodology, tools, and best practices
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and maturity in solution delivery capabilities

Finance Transformation & Process Design:

  • Design To-Be processes and roles, leveraging leading industry practices, particularly in BlackLine
  • Lead process reengineering, transition management, and knowledge transfer initiatives

Shared Services & Operating Model Design:

  • Drive the design and implementation of shared services/GBS operating models
  • Define and implement governance frameworks and service management structures

Business Architecture & Case Development:

  • Lead business architecture implementation efforts
  • Conduct comprehensive business case analysis to support strategic decisions

Sales & Business Development:

  • Build and drive the sales pipeline, identifying and nurturing business opportunities
  • Lead the creation and delivery of business development strategies, including proposals and client solutioning

Qualification & Requirements

Education:

  • Postgraduate degree (MBA from a premier B-school), Chartered Accountant (C.A.), or Certified Public Accountant (C.P.A.)

Experience:

  • 8–10 years of experience in the Finance and Accounting domain
  • Strong process expertise across Finance functions, Shared Services, and Operating Models
  • Hands-on experience in Finance Transformation projects, including:
  • Organization structure
  • Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Financial Close & Reporting
  • Asset Accounting, General Ledger (GL), Chart of Accounts (COA)
  • Taxation, Treasury, Risk, and Compliance

Technology & Tools Expertise

  • Experience implementing Finance Technology Solutions, especially BlackLine
  • End-to-end experience in 3 to 5 full-cycle BlackLine implementations, including:
  • Assessment, planning, requirement gathering
  • Design, configuration/development
  • Testing, training, and deployment
  • Hands-on knowledge of financial close tools and reconciliation processes
  • Experience in variance analysis, risk rating of accounts, intercompany transactions, journals, cash management, and open items management
  • Certifications in BlackLine modules such as:
  • Account Reconciliation
  • Journal Entry
  • Transaction Matching
  • Tasks
  • Smart Close (preferred)

Program & People Management

  • Proven program management experience:
  • Planning, managing, and executing large, complex finance transformation programs on time and within budget
  • Navigating diverse stakeholder groups in dynamic environments
  • Successful track record in leading global and cross-functional teams
  • Experience working independently with minimal supervision

Other Requirements

  • Willingness to travel extensively (both within India and internationally) for project engagements
  • Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams in a fast-paced consulting environment
