Manager/Sr.Manager – HR Operations

Key Responsibilities

HR Operations / People Lifecycle

  • Oversee & ensure smooth onboarding of new hires along with meeting internal stakeholders’ expectations during the process.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation throughout the employee lifecycle including employment/consultancy agreements, joining forms, role/salary revision letters, relieving letters etc.
  • Oversee and manage all aspects of leave and attendance processes, ensuring accurate records, policy compliance, and seamless integration with payroll systems.
  • Establish grievance redressal mechanisms and POSH policy awareness, suitable for a small but growing team.

Payroll & Benefits Management

  • Manage end-to-end payroll including full-and-final settlements, mid-year and annual appraisal process.
  • Administer benefits like insurances, flexi-benefits plan, and more.

Compliances & Audits

  • Ensure all statutory labor laws are always complied with including but not limited to PF, PT, ESIC, LWF, gratuity, POSH and the other new-age acts.
  • Manage compliances during transitional rollout of India’s four labor codes.
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to HR, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Meet internal and statutory audit requirements.

HRMS Administration & System Optimization

  • Implement and manage HRMS for various modules like recruitment, onboarding, leave, payroll, reimbursement, performance and reporting.
  • Automate operational processes to accelerate TAT, reduce errors and dependencies.

Reporting, Analytics & Stakeholder Experience

  • Create reports and dashboards on periodic and ad hoc basis
  • Build data governance safeguards aligned with anticipated data protection regulations.

Process Design, Scalability & Others

  • Document SOPs, playbooks and employee FAQs.
  • Drive incremental automation to support rapid headcount growth.
  • Undertake ad-hoc assignments and special projects on need basis.

Team & External Partnerships

  • Collaborate closely with recruiters, HRBPs, finance, IT teams and business stakeholders to drive integrated HR, budgeting, and technology initiatives.
  • Manage vendors – payroll partners, benefits providers, HRMS partners and always ensure SLA compliance.

Qualification & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in any discipline is a must; Master’s in HR is preferred
  • 8-12 years of experience in HR Operations, payroll, statutory compliances and HRMS
  • Effective written and verbal communications skills and strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively within tight timelines and in a high-performance culture
