Description
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to support the implementation and enhancement of our Operational Risk and Resilience framework.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Risk:
- Support the identification, assessment, and documentation of operational risks and controls within business and support functions.
- Support the triage and classification of ICT-related incidents in accordance with DORA’s materiality thresholds and reporting timelines (24h/72h/28d).
- Maintain and enhance incident logging and escalation procedures, ensuring timely and accurate reporting to internal stakeholders and regulators.
- Assist in the coordination and tracking of risk incidents, including classification, effective escalation aligned to severity and follow-up on action plans. Contribute to periodic risk reviews, assessments, and reporting activities.
- Help maintain risk registers where relevant and ensure data integrity in risk management tools.
Business Continuity and Resilience:
- Conduct and maintain criticality assessments for business services, shared services, and internal processing services using the firm’s methodology.
- Define and validate impact tolerance thresholds for critical and important business services, ensuring alignment with relevant regulatory expectations.
- Map dependencies across people, processes, technology, and third-party providers to support resilience planning and regulatory reporting.
- Assist and support in resilience exercises including scenario testing, impact analysis, and recovery strategy evaluations.
- Support development and maintenance of continuity plans and ensure regular updates are completed.
- Coordinate with teams and key stakeholders during incidents to support business recovery activities.
- Assist in the integration of DORA-aligned policies and procedures into the broader operational risk and resilience framework.
Programme Implementation & Monitoring:
- Act as a liaison between the Operational Risk and Resilience team and business & support functions.
- Engage with business operations, support and IT departments in the ongoing determination and capture of critical business processes; critical business service / functions.
- Provide support for training, awareness, and communication initiatives related to operational risk and resilience.
- Monitor and report on the status of risk and resilience initiatives locally.
- Support development and enhancement of the Risk department tools and methodologies, and standard operating procedures to support the Operational Resilience, Operational Risk Management and Business Continuity programs.
- Support with the preparation of regular, ad-hoc or special reporting for the company’s Risk Committee and Group / Board as well as parent company as required
Qualification & Requirements
- At least 8-10 years’ experience working in or with Operational Risk and/or Business Continuity Management with preferably a working knowledge of Fund Administration
- Post-secondary degree in accounting, finance, law, economics, business or a related discipline
- Professional qualification in risk or a related discipline would be preferred
- Knowledge and understanding of regulatory requirements for risk management and BCP, as well as risk requirements and guidelines
- Knowledge of risk assessment techniques, business impact analysis, BCP planning and testing with strong cross-experience in financial services / fund services
- Comfortable working with complex datasets and familiar with power apps, modern data modelling apps and reporting tools.
- Project management skills and ability to analyse project progress and direct / redirect team efforts
- Advanced ability with the Microsoft Office suite of applications
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience of onboarding new systems / technology is preferred.
