Description

Oversees the daily functions of the Human Resources division, ensuring efficient and effective HR processes across the staff lifecycle. This role includes accountability for HR systems, payroll, benefits administration, compliance, and process execution.

Manager of HR Operations and Shared Services

Key Responsibilities

Overseeing HR operations and management

  • Managing the operational excellence of the HR division, ensuring smooth and efficient workflows from onboarding to offboarding.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with HR leadership on total rewards, compensation, policy administration, performance management, training, and development.

HR systems, payroll and benefits oversight, optimization, and compliance/risk management

  • Overseeing HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems), payroll, benefits (Savings Plan, pension, wellness benefits, etc.), administration, and other HR-related technologies.
  • Own end-to-end payroll and benefits administration operations, including compliance with applicable federal/state requirements.
  • Partner with HR peers on the design and implementation of benefits and total rewards strategies, while retraining operational accountability for execution and vendor management.
  • Ensure HR operations are compliant with all legal and regulatory requirements.

Leading and developing the HR operational team

  • Providing guidance, mentorship, and support to the HR team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

Analyzing HR data

  • Using data and analytics to identify trends, measure HR effectiveness, and drive process improvements.
  • Develop and maintain operational dashboards and analytics to inform HR decisions.
  • Support HR leadership in workforce planning and reporting.

Strategic alignment

  • Working with senior leadership to align HR strategies with the overall business goals and objectives.

Team member experience

  • Contributing to a positive and engaging team member experience through various HR initiatives and programs.
  • When interacting with team members and providing related services, strive to make every interaction timely, complete, and friendly.

Cross-functional collaboration

  • Serves as an operational liaison to the HR Talent & Rewards Manager and HR People & Culture Manager.
  • Promotes integrated delivery of HR day-to-day services through strong collaboration and partnerships.

Developing negotiation strategies

  • Prepares for negotiations with benefits providers by establishing clear goals.
  • Oversees and owns business relationships with HRIS provider, COBRA provider, third-party benefit administrators, and other partners.

  • Actively supports and facilitates the professional and personal development of team members.
  • Fosters open communication, trust, and mutual respect among team members.
  • Empowers team members by delegating tasks and responsibilities, providing guidance and support, and encouraging initiative and autonomy.

Qualification & Requirements

Desired:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, or a relevant field
  • At least five years of experience in human resource management is required

Preferred:

  • SHRM CP or SCP Certification

  • Ability to analyze HR data, identify trends, and generate reports to inform decision-making
  • Identifying opportunities for process improvement and aligning HR operations with overall business goals
  • Establishing and maintaining positive relationships with team members at all levels
