Chief Financial Officer

Key Responsibilities

• The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) leads the health system’s finance shared- service, including the development and administration of policies, as well as long-term planning and annual budgeting, that support solid financial practices across all member locations of the System.
• They will ensure compliance and proper oversight of treasury, tax, accounting, billing, internal controls, corporate finance, and financial planning for all Dartmouth Health business units and will be responsible for the maintenance of records and procedures required to adequately safeguard the organization’s assets.
• The CFO is an integral role in the success of the System, providing strategic guidance and coordinating long-term financial plans to ensure compatibility with the System’s financial capacity, credit profile, and long-term financial viability.
• This role serves as a key member of the Chief Officer Team, working collaboratively to promote Dartmouth Health’s values, drive performance, and achieve strategic and operational objectives.

Qualification & Requirements

• Master’s degree or higher in business administration, accounting, finance, or related field required
• CPA or equivalent credential preferred
• Minimum of 10 years of progressive financial leadership in a complex, matrixed health system
• Demonstrated strength in strategic thinking, analytics, and communication
• Proven success in driving operational excellence and building high-performing teams
