Description

We are proud to partner with a leading international group, active in over 45 countries, in their search for an Accounting Shared Services Center (SSC) Director. This is a unique opportunity to spearhead the launch and development of a brand-new SSC in the heart of Bucharest.

Accounting SSC Director

Key Responsibilities

Team management

  • Embody the vision for the Accounting SSC and build a culture within the SSC that is consistent with the vision and company culture
  • Lead the SSC Management team (SSC Accounting Managers) from an operational point of view – own the SSC Governance
  • Lead the implementation of the HR framework with support from HR (career ladder, training plan, appraisal system)

Stakeholder management activity

  • Build relationships with local Financial controllers in order to represent the Center to them

Project management

  • Manage the execution of the SSC strategy
  • Supervise migration of activities from countries to the Center (directly at first)
  • Spend time trouble shooting projects (either migrations or internal projects)
  • Provide documentation support and information for internal controls and external audit

Qualification & Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Management, or Economy – a strong plus
  • 15 years of work experience, of which 5+ years of management
  • Experience in shared service environment – a strong plus
  • English proficiency required, French language a plus
  • Aptitude for process improvement & tools
  • Dynamic management of staff
  • Experience in ERP implementation is a plus
