Managing Director, Shared Services

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and direction to the MHPI shared services office in Pune, India.
• Lead the development of a long-range plan (LRP) charting the strategic growth and development plans for the organization.
• Oversee the daily operations and performance of the shared services team, ensuring high-quality service delivery to BU operating divisions.
• Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment, promoting teamwork and professional development among team members.
• Develop and implement operational strategies to optimize efficiency and effectiveness of shared services.
• Liaise with US headquarters to align shared services activities with overall business objectives and goals.
• Manage and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track progress and drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Represent the MHPI shared services office in India at internal and external meetings, building strong relationships with stakeholders.
• Oversee HR leadership and ensure stakeholder engagement and satisfaction to help MHPI grow and scale to support the business.
• Provide recruitment support, owning the full cycle recruitment and placement of shared service resources.
• Navigate the complexities of a matrixed environment, where resources report into BU divisions, ensuring effective coordination and communication.
• Liaise with other Masco organizations in India, driving collaboration, best-practice sharing, and leverage opportunities.

Qualification & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Proven experience in a senior leadership role within a shared services or similar environment.
• Strong understanding of shared service models and matrixed team structures.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and motivate a diverse team.
• Experience in liaising with international teams and stakeholders.
• Bilingual proficiency with strong English as a requirement.

Additional Information:

• This position requires occasional travel to the US headquarters and other international locations.
• The Managing Director will play a critical role in driving the success of our shared services model and ensuring seamless support to our BU operating divisions.
