Description

We are looking for responsible IT specialists who are passionate about advancing Bundeswehr IT through challenging digitalization projects and thus want to contribute to Germany’s security. The PoD1 Collaboration department, as part of Shared Service Delivery, offers our customers solutions that optimally support the digitalization of their business processes and enable users to collaborate and complete their tasks effectively and efficiently. To this end, we provide powerful and cost-effective groupware, conferencing, and telephony services based on modern technologies (e.g., cloud) from the respective market leaders.

Senior IT-Service Manager E-Mail Communication – KI-Modelle

Key Responsibilities

  • Adoption of end-to-end service management along the entire service lifecycle according to ITIL of integrated processes and services or service functions
  • Responsibility for the management, coordination and professional leadership of a virtual, interdisciplinary service team as well as service providers
  • Responsibility for the management of service functions for the use of AI models in the email environment as well as for the further development of the service and the assurance of quality, service level and productivity
  • Assuming cost responsibility for the assigned service functions in the operations phase, including financial and investment planning and implementation of risk management
  • Responsibility for service-related communication with internal and external stakeholders
  • Taking over (partial) project management in the area of email services and associated service functions
  • Support in the preparation of offers in the service environment as well as support for tenders in connection with procurement

Qualification & Requirements

  • Completed studies or comparable training in the field of business and/or computer science
  • Approximately 5 years of professional experience in IT project and/or service management according to ITIL, relevant certification is an advantage
  • Good commercial understanding and experience in managing virtual, cross-functional teams and agile working methods; relevant certification is an advantage
  • Several years of experience in integrating AI functionalities into existing IT infrastructures as well as in managing operational processes of container infrastructures with Kubernetes (K8s) and in the use of Large Language Models (LLM)
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, Confluence and Jira as well as basic knowledge of AI technologies, tools and cloud technologies
  • Analytical thinking skills, good communication and delegation skills, strong decision-making and implementation skills, and a goal-oriented, committed working style
  • Fluent German language skills as well as a solid understanding of English and willingness to travel on business
