Data Science Senior Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Cultivate strong, ongoing relationships with key stakeholders across Visa Consulting & Analytics (VCA) and project teams to gather requirements and identify new engagement opportunities.
• Own the end-to-end delivery of high-quality data projects, ensuring alignment with best practices and client expectations.
• Partner with Cluster Data Leads, VMS Leads, and Global Data Labs teams to execute impactful data-driven projects for Visa clients.
• Maintain a regional pipeline of data engagements and support the development of pricing proposals
• Lead the tracking and reporting of shared services Data Labs engagements across Asia Pacific, ensuring consistent delivery standards and capturing learnings to enhance future initiatives
• Contribute to other Managed Services initiatives as required, supporting broader team objectives.

Qualification & Requirements

• Degree (Masters or higher would be an advantage) in IT, Computer Science, Data Science, AI, Machine Learning, Business Analytics or equivalent experience
• A minimum of 12 years’ work experience in a data science role, specifically with a background in payments solutions and advanced data science.
• A minimum of 2 years’ work experience in a consulting role, specifically with a background in financial industry.
• Extensive proficiency in data science techniques, usage of programming languages such as Python, Spark, Hadoop/Hive for model development, and data processing.
• A proven track record demonstrating an ability to manipulate, process, and extract value from extensive datasets at scale.
• Experience in developing and delivering campaign management solutions in banking and retail space.
• Striking communication skills, showcasing an ability to translate complex technical data into compelling narratives.
• Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint presentations
• Role requires the incumbent to travel to client locations

What will also help:

• Experience in analytics for retail banking, card issuing or consulting to retail banks
• Good understanding of payments and banking
• Ideally worked in a data product delivery role within offshore teams
• Solid evidence of experience in managing, analyzing, and implementing insights from large datasets.
• Demonstrable expertise in a customer-facing, advisory role, with a focus on creating effective data strategies
• Experience in campaign management, implementation and measurement
• A comprehensive understanding and familiarity with current industry trends and advancements in data science.
