Description

The Senior Manager of Shared Services will report to the Director of Financial Shared Services and lead the Billing and AR Collections teams. This role is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement of all related financial processes, while maintaining robust internal controls and delivering exceptional service to both internal and external stakeholders. These functions are a critical enabler of the Company’s continued growth.

Senior Manager of Financial Shared Services

Key Responsibilities

  • Develops and executes a comprehensive shared services strategy encompassing
    Billing, Online Portals, Credit Risk Management and Accounts Receivable, ensuring
    alignment with organizational goals and financial objectives
  • Leads and manages the Billing and Cash team, ensuring high performance in daily
    operations, while developing talent and promoting a culture of accountability and
    improvement
  • Leads innovation and continuous improvement initiatives by evaluating and enhancing
    internal processes for scalability and efficiency
  • Establishes and monitors key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level
    agreements (SLAs) to drive improvements in accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness
  • Drives automation and system improvements in Billing and AR processes to increase
    scalability and reduce manual errors
  • Serves as the primary escalation point for complex issues related to Customer billing,
    Online portals, Credit risk management, collections, and cash applications
  • Partners with IT and finance teams to implement system enhancements or new tools
    that streamline financial processes, enhance data accuracy, and improve user
    experience
  • Oversees, in conjunction with Treasury team, credit risk management including
    customer credit evaluations, credit limit approvals, and maintenance of credit policies
  • Monitors cash flow related to accounts receivable, providing timely and accurate
    forecasts to senior management
  • Maintains robust internal controls and audit readiness across all shared services
    functions
  • Performs other related duties as assigned to support organizational success
  • Completes assigned tasks in a safe, accurate, thorough, and alert manner
  • Upholds Company policies and procedures
  • Works in a professional manner with managers, supervisors, coworkers, customers, and
    the public

Supervisory Responsibility

  • Delivers value-added results by effectively delegating tasks, managing performance, and
    training and developing employees in the following positions:

    • Billing team
    • Accounts Receivable team

Qualification & Requirements

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex
    information clearly and effectively
  • Data-driven mindset with strong analytical and problem-solving skills to support strategic
    decision-making and continuous improvement
  • Proven leadership capabilities with a talent for motivating, mentoring, and developing
    high-performing teams

  • Strong initiative and ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Proficient in project management methodologies and tools, with a successful track
    record of leading process improvement initiatives
  • Skilled in ERP systems and financial technology platforms commonly used in shared
    services environments
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for data analysis and reporting
  • Exceptional attention to detail and excellent organizational skills

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field from
    an accredited institution (or equivalent professional experience)
  • Over 7 years of progressive experience in finance operations, shared services, or
    transactional accounting, including a minimum of 5 years in a leadership or management
    role
  • Experience implementing automation and digital transformation projects within financial
    operations is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with Lean and Six Sigma methodologies, with hands-on experience leading
    process improvement initiatives preferred
  • Previous experience in HVAC Industry or other service business preferred

Physical Requirements:

  • Continuously able to work in office environment
  • Continuously able to operate a computer and other office productivity machinery,
    such as a copy machine, telephone, and computer printer
  • Continuously able to sit at a computer for up to 8 hours
  • Able to alternate between sitting and standing, as needed throughout the day
  • Occasionally able to lift up to 15 lbs.
  • Continuously requires vision, hearing, twisting, and talking
  • Occasionally requires walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, kneeling,
    pushing/pulling, bending, and crouching
  • Rarely requires climbing
  • Ability to travel on occasion
