Description

Reporting to the Regional Senior Officer, Strategy & Portfolio Management, this role supports project management and coordination, internal communications, data analysis and business process improvements to enable program and advancement teams to operate more effectively. The Lead serves as a liaison to IJM Global teams, manages regional events, coordinates reporting and drives operational excellence across the region.

This position can be based in the Philippines, Singapore, Australia, Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia, South Korea, Hong Kong or Indonesia and reports to the Regional Vice President, Strategy and Operations, Asia Pacific and is only available for candidates with the right to work in the above-mentioned countries.

Lead, Regional Strategy & Operations

Key Responsibilities

Business Process Development and Data Analysis

  • Analyze existing business processes and workflows for program and advancement teams; design and implement improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Leverage IJM’s existing data platforms and databases to derive insights to inform decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and tools to support data-driven decision-making and operational transparency.

Coordinating Reporting and Data Management

  • Lead and coordinate quarterly and ad hoc reporting processes, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant data collection and reporting for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintain up-to-date data management systems and support the preparation and distribution of internal and external reports related to program activation, strategy, and impact.

Operational Coordination and Project Management

  • Coordinate and manage regional projects and events including strategy summits, regional Strategy & Operation team retreats, and All Hands meetings.
  • Serve as the primary contact for APAC Offices on regional logistics, reporting, and Global team requests.
  • Manage onboarding/offboarding of regional leaders and support capacity building of administrative

Internal Communications and Collaboration

  • Design, implement, and lead APAC’s internal communications program (newsletters, meetings, SharePoint).
  • Serve as the internal liaison for the region: receive, triage, and route requests, information, and queries to and from APAC Offices, ensuring efficient internal communication and task management.

Shared Learning and Collaboration

  • Act as liaison between APAC and IJM Global teams to share best practices, optimize shared services, and ensure alignment on organizational initiatives.
  • Collaborate across IJM’s regional teams to gather information, share resources, and ensure APAC has the most updated information needed to support and advance its objectives, including but not limited to running a regular Community of Practice.

Capacity Building and Team Support

  • Build administrative and operational capacity within the region through training and mentoring.
  • Supervise and manage regional interns, including recruitment, training, and performance management.

Supervisory

  • This position does not directly supervise any other positions but may provide guidance to interns or support staff as assigned.

Qualification & Requirements

Education And Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, international development, communications, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in project management, operations coordination, or internal communications, preferably in international development or NGO settings.
  • Experience working in Asia Pacific preferred.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
