Description
This is more than just an IT project—it’s one of the most significant business transformations in our company’s history. We are looking for a visionary and experienced individual to take on a key role in this initiative as a Senior Business Architect. Reporting directly to the Head of Financial Systems within the CFO organization, you will act as a strategic bridge between business departments and IT, and play a crucial part in defining our future end-to-end processes and shaping our operational independence. As a Senior Business Architect, your focus will be less on the initial analysis and more on the long-term conception, governance, and evolution of our process and solution architecture, starting from the later project phases (Explore, Realize, and beyond).
Key Responsibilities
- Design the End-to-End Process Landscape: You will design and harmonize our future-proof E2E processes with a focus on Finance and Controlling (e.g., Order-to-Cash, Record-to-Report, Procure-to-Pay). You will ensure that these processes are lean, standardized, scalable, and optimally support our international business models.
- Shape the IONOS SAP S/4HANA Template: You will lead the definition of our IONOS-specific SAP template. You will translate business requirements into concrete solution designs, evaluate standard functionalities (“Fit-to-Standard”), and decide where tailored solutions are necessary to ensure our operational autonomy.
- Strategic Governance & Stakeholder Management: You will act as the central interface to business departments, the CFO, the CTO, and the program management of our parent company (UI). You will prepare strategic decisions for the IONOS Design Authority Board, present complex issues clearly, and ensure continuous alignment among all stakeholders.
- Architectural Evolution & Innovation: You will think beyond the scope of the current project. You will develop a long-term roadmap for our finance and enterprise architecture, evaluate technological innovations, and ensure our system landscape remains flexible and competitive in the future.
Qualification & Requirements
- Experience: You have many years of in-depth professional experience as a Business Architect, Inhouse Consultant, or in a comparable role. You have successfully guided multiple complex SAP transformations (ideally S/4HANA) from concept to completion, preferably in an international or carve-out environment.
- Expertise: You possess excellent knowledge in modeling end-to-end business processes, especially in finance and controlling. A deep understanding of SAP S/4HANA architecture and its FI/CO modules is second nature to you.
- Methodology: You are familiar with methodologies like SAP Activate and the “Fit-to-Standard” approach. You know how to structure and prioritize requirements using methods like MoSCoW.
- Personality: You are a strong and persuasive communicator with strategic vision. You can explain complex topics clearly to senior management, act with confidence in a dynamic environment, and align diverse interests toward a common goal.
- Languages: You are fluent in both German and English.
