Description
The Shared Services Senior Manager provides top level management, sales, and client & guest relations for all events built for Resident Arts groups sold by the CAPA ticket office. This position assists management staff in building, testing, and updating the CAPA resident client events and databases. Currently, those organizations serviced are The Columbus Symphony, The Contemporary Theatre of Ohio (CTO), Chamber Music Columbus, Jazz Arts Group, Opera Columbus, Columbus Children’s Theatre, Columbus Gay Men’s Chorus, and Short North Stage.
Key Responsibilities
- Works with the Director and Associate Director of Ticketing in the set up and maintenance of all events ticketed by CAPA for resident groups.
- Serve as the main contact for The Columbus Symphony.
- Assist in the setup of event builds for shows at CAPA venues and for organizations served.
- Sets up promos and sales as needed for resident groups.
- Serves as liaison between CAPA ticketing staff and leadership for resident groups.
- Manages Shared Service Client Manager, including hiring, scheduling, training, performance management and payroll.
- Disperses and delegates information and tasks for resident groups.
- Updates and maintains databases used by CAPA ticket office for organizations served.
- Sets up subscription events in Tessitura.
- Manages subscription events and databases from season to season.
- Generates, maintains, and distributes wraps and reporting of sales results to clients as requested.
- Attends periodic management meetings as requested.
- Update databases for mailings and email blasts.
- Provides direction and support to show-day staff and performs show settlements with tour promoters as needed.
- Coordinates ticketing projects for staff.

Qualification & Requirements
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- Thorough knowledge of Excel, Microsoft Word, Outlook, database management, and computerized ticketing systems.
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle conflict.
- Ability to work both independently and closely with others in a team environment.
- Ability to stand for an extended period of time and lift up to 40 lbs.
Credentials and Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent required, some college preferred.
- 3-5 years’ experience in ticketing and database management.
- Tessitura, Ticketmaster and Archtics experience is strongly preferred.
- Ability to work evenings and weekends as shows require.
