Description

The Shared Services Manager – AP/AR is responsible for overseeing the centralized accounts payable and accounts receivable functions across the organization. This role ensures the efficient processing of transactions, compliance with internal controls, continuous improvement of financial operations, and delivery of high-quality service to internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of AP/AR and Collections within the shared services function.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, vendor payments, customer billings, and cash application.
  • Develop, monitor, and report on KPIs, SLAs, and performance metrics for AP and AR teams.
  • Manage relationships with internal departments, vendors, field location leadership, and customers to resolve issues and maintain satisfaction.
  • Identify and implement process improvements and automation opportunities to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Maintain and enforce compliance with company policies, SOX/internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee month-end and year-end close processes for AP and AR functions.
  • Collaborate with IT and Finance to optimize use of ERP systems and financial platforms.
  • Train, mentor, and develop staff to support growth and performance objectives.
  • Support audits and ensure documentation is complete and accessible.

Qualification & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in AP/AR or financial operations, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Strong understanding of shared services models and centralized finance operations.
  • Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Business Central /Dynamics 365).
  • Knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and audit practices.
  • Proficiency in Excel and financial reporting tools.
  • Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
