Description

The Associate Director of Shared Accounting Services will be responsible for the direction and management of the growing Shared Accounting Services (SAS) Center. This role provides overall program coordination, financial compliance, IT coordination, application of Archdiocesan protocols, business processes and internal control for client parishes. This individual promotes accounting shared services and is responsible for planning the parish transitions into the program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the accounting operations of shared accounting services, including transaction processing, general ledger, and monthly financial reports
  • Ensure that all accounting policies and procedures are followed
  • Develop and implement accounting systems and processes
  • Attend Parish Finance Council meetings twice yearly and as needed
  • Manage and develop a team of accounting professionals
  • Collaborate with parish staff to ensure that financial goals are met

Qualification & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting required, CPA preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in nonprofit accounting required
  • Public accounting experience preferred
  • Practicing Catholic preferred
  • In depth knowledge of computer software (Microsoft Office 365, accounting software and database programs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage and develop a team of accounting professionals
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other departments and stakeholders
