Description
We are seeking a Lead Talent Acquisition Specialist who will drive and implement full-cycle hiring across the organization. This role will lead recruitment strategy, sourcing, and selection while ensuring a seamless candidate experience. The position closely partners with hiring managers, mentors the recruitment team, and promotes best-in-class, inclusive hiring practices.
Key Responsibilities
Full-Cycle Recruitment
- Manage the complete recruitment lifecycle from job requisition to onboarding
- Collaborate with hiring managers to define job requirements and success criteria
- Draft and update job descriptions in consultation with hiring managers
- Coordinate interviews, evaluate candidates, and manage the offer process
Sourcing & Talent Pipelining
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies via job boards, social media, referrals, and networking
- Build and maintain talent pipelines for current and future hiring needs
- Conduct sourcing through campus programs and recruitment events
Screening & Selection
- Review resumes and applications, and conduct phone screens
- Evaluate candidates for skills, experience, and cultural fit
- Implement structured evaluation and shortlisting processes
Hiring Manager & Stakeholder Collaboration
- Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and hiring goals
- Provide hiring insights and regular progress updates
- Collaborate with HR and leadership to align hiring with business objectives
Candidate Experience
- Maintain smooth and professional communication with candidates
- Guide candidates through all stages of the hiring process
- Represent DigiKey as an employer of choice
Tools & Reporting
- Use Workday ATS and other recruitment tools for candidate and data management
- Maintain accurate recruitment documentation and dashboards
- Track and report recruitment metrics regularly
Team Leadership & Best Practices
- Mentor and guide junior recruiters
- Develop and maintain SOPs for recruitment processes
- Ensure consistency and adherence to effective hiring practices
Vendor & Campus Management
- Engage and evaluate external recruitment agencies
- Coordinate with the procurement team for job platform requirements
- Partner with campus placement teams for fresh talent acquisition
Qualification & Requirements
Requirements & Skills:
- Minimum 7+ years of end-to-end talent acquisition experience
- Proven experience recruiting across multiple domains (technical & non-technical)
- Strong track record of hiring across business functions and leadership levels
- Expertise in structured and competency-based interviews
- Experience with Workday ATS and tools like LinkedIn Recruiter
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills
- Knowledge of DEI hiring practices and employer branding
- Ability to manage recruitment vendors and campus relationships
- Experience mentoring junior team members and leading projects
- Strong analytical mindset with the ability to track and report hiring metrics
Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree (full-time) in any discipline
- MBA/MSW/PGDM in Human Resources or related specialization from a recognized institution (preferred)
