Financial Controller (200k) – Pioneer Team (Ok to travel globally)
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reporting
- Oversee all accounting and financial reporting functions.
- Ensure compliance with local GAAP, tax laws, and internal company policies.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and forecasts.
- Manage the general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll processes.
- Support monthly closings and variance analysis.
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Lead the annual budget planning and periodic forecasting process.
- Monitor financial performance against budget and provide variance analysis.
- Recommend corrective actions for variances and cost control.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure timely filing of statutory returns (tax, regulatory).
- Coordinate audits (internal and external) and implement findings.
- Maintain internal controls and drive continuous improvement of financial processes.
Business Partnering
- Work closely with operations, HR, and other departments to support business decisions.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations for cost optimization and operational efficiency.
- Act as a key financial advisor to local leadership.
Team Leadership
- Manage and mentor a team of finance and accounting professionals.
- Foster a culture of accountability, integrity, and continuous improvement.
Qualification & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master’s or MBA preferred).
- CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification is highly desirable.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in finance/accounting roles.
- At least 3 years in a BPO, shared services, or outsourcing environment.
- Strong understanding of cost structures, pricing models, and SLAs in the BPO industry.
- Proven leadership experience and ability to manage cross-functional teams.
- Proficient in financial systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Attributes:
- Hands-on experience with automation tools (e.g., Power BI, RPA).
- Familiarity with global accounting standards (IFRS, US GAAP).
