Description

We are hunting a Chief Operating Officer (COO) on behalf of our retained executive search client. Our client is a PE-backed analytics/software and services company whose platform serves small and middle-market customers in the manufacturing and high-tech sector.

As COO, you will lead all Operations, Marketing and Client Delivery teams. You will serve as a primary liaison to the Board of Directors. The COO role will report directly to the CEO.

Key Responsibilities

  • Shape and execute the strategic business plan to drive growth.
  • Establish and refine performance metrics to guide operational decision making.
  • Strategic and innovative leadership toward the continual development of the company across the U.S.
  • Ensure profitability and cash flow targets are achieved.
  • Identify areas for financial growth and operational savings.
  • Serve as an ambassador/spokesperson to external audiences, including customers, partners, vendors, investors, etc.
  • Help optimize internal processes and platforms to enhance workflow and maximize productivity.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with executive leaders across Sales, Finance, Human Resources and Legal.
  • Shape the company’s technology and innovation initiatives.
  • Efficiently deploy resources and support transparent reporting to the Board.
  • Mentor, coach and inspire staff, and foster the development of a unified culture across all teams and locations.
  • Create a culture where staff are engaged and positively supported to achieve objectives.

Qualification & Requirements

  • 15+ years of executive-level operational leadership experience.
  • Proven track record of scaling business operations and driving elite business growth.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Communications, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • Exceptional leadership and managerial skills, with the ability to coach, develop, and inspire teams.
  • Capable of managing high-profile clients and stakeholders.
  • Current or recent experience exiting an Private Equity portfolio company is strongly preferred.
