Description
The eDiscovery Process Manager will be responsible for maintaining our end-to-end project management across our current and future services. This includes defining processes and workflows, establishing roles and responsibilities, creating documentation, and establishing training programs. The eDiscovery Process Manager will build structures and workflows for knowledge management and continuous improvement. In addition to building new processes, this person will be responsible for line management of project managers, including case assignment and determining resource demands. The eDiscovery Process Manager will also play a key role in the expansion of the department’s service offerings, driving progress in all the above areas. By improving and standardizing our processes, this person will play a crucial role in moving work to resources in our hub locations, including in Poland and Mexico.
Key Responsibilities
- Day to day oversight of the project management function
- Provide guidance on case-specific eDiscovery needs including (but not limited to) eDiscovery strategy and workflows, reviewing ESI protocols, and implementation of technology
- Own and maintain relationships with eDiscovery vendors serving as the main point of contact
- Work with procurement to update/negotiate contracts for eDiscovery vendors
- Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, and HR collaborators to find opportunities for GBS collaboration
- Work with capability leads across GBS to align Legal, Compliance, and HR opportunities to existing capabilities where applicable
- Promote AstraZeneca principles “we play to win”, “we are entrepreneurial” and “great place to work” in stakeholder engagement.
- Act as an ambassador for GBS as a whole when interacting with all stakeholders
Qualification & Requirements
Essential Skills/Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent 8 years of legal experience
- At least 6-10 years of experience in eDiscovery operations
- Deep understanding of the litigation process and litigation support requirements
- Ability to operate in a dynamic environment with shifting priorities
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Knowledge of key industry standards and regulations that influence Legal, Compliance, and HR
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must have passion for continuous process improvement
Desirable Skills/Experience
- Juris Doctor preferred
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to build relationships with key stakeholders across cultures
