One of the top cloud computing company in the world is looking to hire a Country Manager to lead their company operations in Malaysia.

Country Director

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and execute the country’s strategic growth plan aligned with global corporate objectives.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities in the government, public sector, and telecommunication segments.
  • Oversee and support sales, marketing, and customer success functions to ensure revenue and customer growth.
  • Foster strategic partnerships with technology partners, system integrators, and channel resellers.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity; adapt strategies to maintain a competitive edge.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for the country.
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing, diverse local team across functions.
  • Cultivate and maintain trusted advisor relationships with key customers and stakeholders.
  • Oversee strategic accounts and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction and retention.

Qualification & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, or related field; MBA or equivalent preferred.
  • 10+ years of leadership experience in technology or cloud companies, including P&L ownership.
  • Proven track record in scaling business operations and delivering revenue growth.
  • Deep understanding of cloud technologies (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and enterprise IT landscape.
  • Proven sales track record within the government and public sector.
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Comfortable working in a matrixed, fast-paced, global environment.
  • Experience working with hyperscalers (AWS, Azure, GCP) and ecosystem partners.
