Product Owner for Global Business Services

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive the product vision, technology and strategy
  • Define and maintain the product backlog based on customer needs, market trends, and business objectives.
  • Manage the IT-service along the entire product lifecycle
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements, gather feedback, and translate business needs into detailed user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Work closely with development teams throughout the sprint cycle to ensure clear understanding of requirements and timely delivery of product features.
  • Act as a liaison between business, technical teams, and customers to ensure the successful delivery of product releases.
  • Full technical and commercial responsibility including planning and forecasting as well as bringing together system knowledge and customer needs
  • Monitor product performance, user engagement, and feedback to inform future enhancements
  • Ensure compliance of the IT-service in regards of IT-compliance processes, Information Security processes, Audits and Contract management.

Qualification & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Information Technology or related fields
  • More than 5 years of proven working experience as a project manager and/or product owner in the information technology sector
  • Advanced knowledge of Project Management principles, concepts, procedures, practices and tools
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and customer management skills with advanced problem solving skills
  • Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
  • Written and spoken English on negotiation level is a must, additional language like German is a plus
  • Experience with Agile methodologies
  • Experience working in a DevOps environment
  • Entrepreneurial competencies: (lateral) leadership skills, output orientation, value oriented and user satisfaction driven, assertiveness, visionary, driver, analytical, negotiation skills, business admin and commercial capabilities, holistic view
  • Service Management competencies including expectation and risk mgmt.
  • Provider Management Skills
  • Customer/provider relationship management soft skills (Stakeholder mgmt., customer centricity, conflict management, leadership and challenger)
  • IT and Business competences
