Description
You will join CIBC’s Shared Platform Technologies group where you will be responsible for designing and overseeing the delivery of major initiatives within a shared services team. As an individual contributor Delivery Director within Enterprise Client Information Systems (ECIS) team, you will be expected to lead the execution of programs and projects across multiple delivery teams and vendor partners, playing a critical role in driving transformational change. And you will leverage your strong technical background to develop and implement delivery strategies, aligning with business goals. You will guide the team through the entire delivery lifecycle, utilizing a blend of Waterfall, hybrid and Agile methodologies to ensure successful outcomes.

You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivery Focused – Work closely with internal partners to determine, negotiate and manage projects to the agreed upon timeline. Monitor finances identify opportunities for improvement and recommend appropriate solutions. Under your leadership implement projects in a timely fashion that are of high quality, low cost and on budget. You will identify resource and organizational needs and implement strategies to ensure the delivery organization can meet all current and future project demands.
- People Leadership – Lead a high performing group team of individuals. Direct, motivate, and develop your team, maximizing their contributions and professional growth. Share knowledge and collaborate to come up with effective solutions to problems. Create a roadmap for the continuous improvement of process, tools and delivery organization to optimize the workflow and provide career development opportunities.
- Relationship Management – Work closely with project teams, executives, stakeholders and business partners to develop, and implement application programs. Impact and improve the business by advising application owners on the technology implementation possibilities and requirements.
- Moderate the Solution Creation Process: Lead, facilitate and coordinate the solution design, including ensuring alignment across multiple workstreams.
Qualification & Requirements
- You are a seasoned technical leader.
- You bring 10+ years of hands on experience across a broad range of technologies and delivery disciplines.
- Technical Expertise is a core requirement in this role.
- You have a deep and practical understanding of application development, Webservices (SOAP, REST, and gRPC), Microservices architecture, Event Driven systems, Mainframe technologies and Security principles and practices.
- With a strong foundation in modern and legacy technologies, you are adept at implementing complex solutions to align with business and technical requirements.
- You provide clear consistent direction and capable of making design decisions based on industry best practices and real world implementation experience.
- You have the proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and deliver high-quality results within tight deadlines, and have excellent stakeholder communication and relationship management skill, with ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business terms.
